About this property

Fishpen Retreat - coastal paradise (Perfect location + pool)

Ideally located in the ever popular Fishpen with lake views, it is the perfect location for your next family getaway. Only 150m to Mitchies Jetty, and an easy 15 minute stroll into Merimbula shopping centre. Directly opposite a 100m bush track takes y to the surf beach.

Upstairs features a loungeroom with wood fire, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms (1 with built in robes) and a huge entertainment deck with BBQ and outdoor lounge. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a large flat screen TV and DVD player.

Downstairs comprises another loungeroom, laundry/bathroom, 2 bedrooms (1 with built in robes) and undercover table tennis area. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed & bedroom 4 has 2 single bunk beds and single bed. Laundry also has a second fridge for your convenience.

Please note that linen is included but there is a standard cleaning fee.

Fishpen Retreat has ample room for off-street car and boat parking. There is a huge enclosed back yard, perfect for play and dogs.

Merimbula and it's surrounds has so much to offer including Birdwatching, Bushwalking, Cycling, Diving, Dolphin Cruises, Fishing, Golfing, Horseriding, Kayaking, Scenic Flight, Skydiving, Snorkelling, Surfing, Swimming, and tennis as well as some wonderful restaurants, clubs and cafe's.

Wonderful Family Holiday

We all had a lovely holiday staying here. The house is very close to the beach and a short walk into Merimbula shops. The home has 2 living areas, great for all ages. There is an all weather outdoor entertainment area upstairs with views of the lake. Peter was a great host, easy check-in. The welcome bottle of wine and chocolates was a lovely gesture. Thankyou again Peter for a lovely stay.

Marvellous Merimbula at Fishpen Retreat

What an idyllic location to spend a week, relaxing at Fishpen Retreat! Nine of our family loved the proximity to the beach, all the local attractions, the massive deck and the wonderful house that felt like home. An upstairs and downstairs lounge enabled younger and older family members to relax and enjoy TV or games, allowing space for all. Our dogs were able to join us and loved the huge, secure backyard. The hosts were great to work with and even gave us a bottle of red & chocolates on arrival. We would definitely recommend this amazing property.

We had a great annual family trip to Merimbula, location, location was fantastic to walk everywhere and grab a quick coffee-at the wharf.Pity the other family members were unable to make it however house well equipped with everything we needed.The dog loved the big yard and we loved the pool.Thanks great host, with no problems with communication.Cheers V

We had a wonderful time staying at Peter's place. It is a fantastic spot, perfectly located to everything. Great coffee just around the corner at Mitchies Espresso Bar. Beautiful house, plenty of space. The boys loves the pool and the table tennis. Huge yard for our dog. I loved the big deck upstairs. Will definitely be going there again.

Great stay in top location

This house is great for a large group or two families to share. We had two families and the lower level was ideal for the teenagers to sleep and have their own rumpus/games area (with TV) and bathroom (stand up shower only). Upstairs bedrooms were nice and spacious for the adults with another bathroom (shower over bathtub) and comfy lounge with fireplace. The house is in a fantastic location, only a few minutes walk to the beach and an easy 10 min walk across bridge to town. There is a great cafe and a fish and chip shop a few mins walk away. The upstairs large covered deck is a great space for outdoor dining and lounging and has a lovely view across to the lake. We didnt use the pool as it was too cold but it is a nice size with a few lounge chairs-would be fantastic in summer. The table tennis table was a fun on the day we got some rainy weather. The house was clean and tidy and bed linen good quality. The only negatives are that both bathrooms are in need of renovating, and the Webber BBQ provided is way too small for a large group. There was 6 of us and it was too small and we had to cook some meat on the stove inside which was not ideal. I would recommend to the owner to upgrade the BBQ to a large grill to accommodate big groups. Also the BBQ was very dirty on arrival and we had to spend time cleaning it ourselves so that was another let down. Host was very apologetic and was good to deal with during our stay. Overall I would recommend and we would stay again.

Traveling with young kids and a dog can be challenging to find suitable accommodation for all. This place is perfect! Amazing big fenced yard, lovely house with everything you need and sooo close to the beach and playground. Oh and amazing coffee at the end of the street! Brilliant stay, highly recommend.
