Great location, easy walk to restaurants in town. A quick ride on bikes (provided) or golf cart (rented) or Frog Hop (public) to get to the beach. The backyard is spacious, the pool is small but nice to lay out by/cool off in. The house had what we needed and was comfortable.
Definitely recommend. Location is perfect, house was very clean and the patio/pool was wonderful. The host checked on us to be sure we had everything we needed and were quick to respond. We are already planning a future stay here!!
We are happy you enjoyed your stay! And we plan to make further upgrades soon.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
I have vacationed on Siesta Key more than a dozen times over 20 years, and I've never left a bad review until now. This was by far my worst experience. The issues: No hot water for first four days (new WH was installed during stay), location of property is errant on VRBO(picture attached isn't correct location), all six bikes were not fully assembled (had to borrow tools from bike shop and finished front tires and seat installation myself), no dresser or side table in master bedroom, hall bath faucet sprayed water out the side (plumber fixed during stay), cheap 'back breaking' pull out couches, and the kitchen had no knives short a butter knife, which was fun cutting french bread for dinner. The manager was mostly responsive, but when I asked for a discount due to the lack of hot water, I was texted that the "water temp was within an acceptable range for normal hygiene use". Then they negated their answer by replacing the 10-year old water heater two days later. The property is also located at the end of the canal, and at low tide, the bottom is exposed and smells like sewage. I would not rent this property again, and I will be challenging my credit card for the four days without hot water and to VRBO for grossly mislocating the property.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations and appreciate the opportunity to clarify several points for future guests.
Regarding the hot water: during your stay, the water temperature was measured at approx 90°F, which is within an acceptable range for basic hygiene use. That said, although the existing water heater was functioning, we chose to replace the unit during your stay as a courtesy in an effort to improve your experience—not because it had failed.
The property location shown on VRBO is generated and managed by the platform itself. While we provide accurate location descriptions in our listing and the correct address in our booking confirmation, we do not control how VRBO displays map pins. Notwithstanding, this is something we have raised with them
All six bicycles provided were new and delivered per the manufacturer’s standard shipping configuration. Minor final adjustments (such as seat height or front tire alignment) are typical for new bikes. That said, we appreciate your feedback and will review our setup process going forward.
The kitchen is stocked with a standard set of knives appropriate for a vacation rental, and we do have photos documenting the inventory prior to arrival. Likewise, pull-out sofas are offered as secondary sleeping options, are not marketed as luxury mattresses, and were purchased in October 2025
Plumbing issues in the hall bathroom were addressed promptly by a licensed professional during your stay, and we’re glad that repair was completed quickly.
Lastly, the property is located at the end of a tidal canal. As with all waterfront homes in coastal Florida, water levels and natural odors fluctuate with tides, something beyond any owner’s control.
While we regret that this stay did not meet your expectations, we stand by the accuracy of our listing and the efforts made to address concerns you raised in real time. We wish you the best in your future travels and appreciate you sharing your perspective.
