Charming, Pet-friendly House with Office in Old Town for Monthly Stays
This cheerful house is perfect for individuals, couples, or small families with pets temporarily working and/or adventuring in Fort Collins. A room dedicated as an office with two workstations is ideal for remote workers. The fenced yard is great for dogs. Native plants surround the house. And the location is superb: Old Town Square, CSU, and many trails are all close by. Come experience all that Fort Collins has to offer!
This house has everything you need for monthly stays (there is a 30-night minimum). Two bedrooms hold queen beds, closets, dressers, and blackout curtains. A third room serves as a dedicated office with two desks, two office chairs, and one monitor. The living room holds a couch, two armchairs, a smart TV with Roku, a washer, and a dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a stove, oven, chef sink, microwave, and new refrigerator. The dining room seats four. The bathroom has a shower/bath, sink, vanity, and cabinet.
We have lovingly decorated and updated the house since buying it. Each room has been painted to reflect one of Colorado’s ecosystems, complemented by our original photographs. The house features brand new carpet, air conditioning, furnace, and refrigerator. (Fort Collins summers are HOT! Don’t settle for a place without central AC.) The hardwood floors were refinished in 2023 and the attic and crawlspace were reinsulated in 2022.
Outside is a fenced backyard with a patio and table that seats four. The driveway fits two cars. Since 2022, we have been restoring a mini native prairie on the property. Thousands of native plants fill the yard with color and life in the summer. They attract hummingbirds, goldfinches, butterflies, and other pollinators. In fact, the yard has gone viral and become famous on social media!
The house is in a nice residential neighborhood close to the best that Fort Collins has to offer. Walk into Old Town for restaurants, breweries, bars, stores, and events. Stroll through the beautiful, historic Old Town neighborhoods. Bike or walk half a mile down the street to the grocery store. Bike to Colorado State University in seven minutes. Drive into Lory State Park or Roosevelt National Forest in just 25 minutes.

About the host
Hosted by Evan Barrientos

I moved to Fort Collins in 2018 to work for the National Audubon Society. I am a photographer, filmmaker, and communications manager. I absolutely love the prairie and forests of Colorado.
Why they chose this property
I wanted to be within walking distance to Old Town. I also love to walk through the beautiful historic neighborhoods of Old Town.
What makes this property unique
Since buying the property in 2022, I have been restoring a miniature native prairie on it. I have collected thousands of seeds from more than one hundred species of native plants around Fort Collins. I have sown them in what used to be sod and gravel, and now thousands of native plants surround the house, filling it with color and life in the spring and summer. Much to my surprise, the yard went viral on social media and became quite famous!
The inside of the house is also colorfully painted to reflect the different ecosystems of Colorado.
