The house is placed at the picturesque Drios little port at the South East of Paros Island. In the centre of Cyclades, at the Aegean Sea, the historic Archipelagos.
It’s a full house 50 m from the sea front, 500 m from the famous Golden Beach.The house is built in a 2.100 m2 piece of land, planted with native trees, flowers and vegetables.
It’s a two storey home, 123 m2 in total. On the ground floor, there is a 45 m2 room with the kitchen, dining and sitting room. This room is connected, through an open-air porch and a huge veranda headed to the garden and sea, to the 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a seperate veranda viewing the sea . A built-in ladder takes you up to the 2nd floor. There is the master bedroom with a bathroom, a wardrobe and 2 verandas, where you can enjoy the captivating view of the sea, other islands and Drios port. You will enjoy small walks exlporing several beaches or longer ones to the hills that are around with old byzantine churches and monasteries. If you love sports, you can jog towards the Golden Beach, go wind surfing , sea cycling or snorkeling etc.If you enjoy cooking, we may cook a local food together. It's the perfect place for visitors who want to get away but also love a little excitement just around the corner in Naoussa or Parikia. Markella, the owner of the house, lives at an independent part of the house with Dora, her dog. During summertime her husband and two children Anna (24) and Anastasis (21) visit on their vacation.

We were 3 couples enjoying this wonderfully relaxing house with great ocean views. 5 minute walk to a quiet beach, restaurants, and small supermarket, warm Aegean breeze, and easy indoor and outdoor hang out spaces. Nice to have WiFi and laundry, and Markella was a perfect host.

Great Stay at Markella's place

The house was really super clean, very well equiped and Markella is a super host. She was really reactive to all our asks while being very discrete. The house is well equiped with ceiling fans but I think for very hot weeks, air conditionned would be preferable.

Home away from home

Really a faultless experience. Listing is accurate but even better in reality. It house is a home and decorated beautifully with all amenities you would need. Markella was on hand for everything and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. So many charming bars and restaurants within walking distance in Dryos or along Golden beach. We loved our week in Markellas house!

Markella's place in Drios was truly AMAZING!!! It was exactly what I had wanted for my family of 4 as we finished up our trip to Greece. Stunning views of the water and a lovely, cozy home to relax and unwind. This was the best VRBO we've ever rented and I wish I could just move in! The town of Drios (cute market and restaurants) was just a few minute walk one direction and Golden Beach (beautiful beach where we spent one whole day) was about a 10 minute walk in the other direction. Markella was responsive and helpful with all my communications and there were so many thoughtful touches that we appreciated, including a bowl full of ripe apricots she'd picked from one of the trees in the yard that were on the table when we arrived. I could not have wanted or asked for anything more. I would rent it again in a heartbeat!!

Fabulous property & location

Markella's place is a real find. This is more than a holiday house. It's a very tastefully and thoughtfully created holiday home. It comprises a building in two parts. The first is a spacious Kitchen diner and living room in one large room. This includes a well-equipped kitchen with a dining table and the sitting room has comfortable sofas and coffee tables. The house has lots of games and interesting artifacts. The other part comprises three bedrooms with the upstairs bedroom having an ensuite bathroom and a great balcony with a sea view. The downstairs bedrooms open onto a nice little ground floor shaded seating area. These two bedrooms share a bathroom which also doubles up as a laundry room with a washing m/c in it. Everything works properly and is well equipped. In between the two parts of the property is a great sheltered dining area which is a cool place to sit night or day. This opens up to a nice patio with a view of the sea and a hammock. The sea and beach are a really short walk away. Turn right and you are quickly at a lovely quiet local beach that has a number of nice restaurants and a small bar. Turn left and in 10 mins you are at the lovely golden beach. I couldn't fault Markella's place. Absolutely fabulous and highly recommended. One quick note: It's not essential because there are buses but a car comes in handy here to explore the island and drive to the larger (and cheaper) supermarket in Marpissa.

Très charmante villa très bien équipée, très bien agencée. Emplacement idéal : 5 min à pied de Dryos et de son centre. 10 min a pied de golden Beach. Vue imprenable sur la mer, et avec son levé de soleil et très beau levée de lune. Environnement hyper calme! Super séjour et Markella est toujours disponible si besoin ou pour quelques conseils et lieux à visiter. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter! Top!

Grande maison

La maison est bien pour une famille mais il manque la climatisation, j aurai du faire attention car pas mentionné dans l annonce. Pas de lit bébé, ni chaise haute Deux transats seulement. La chambre du haut est très bien, chambre du bas pourrait être mieux arrangée avec un grand lit plus confortable. Maison au calme, très agréable les repas sous le patio, beaucoup de vaisselles, pas de bouilloire électrique, Vue mer très agréable.

Lovely

We had a great time in this tastefully decorated and immaturely kept home in an exceptional location facing the sea, within a few hundred metres of the picturesque village of Drios, a couple of rocky and sandy beach coves ideally for families with small children learning to swim, and the fun, lively Golden beach which is perfect for all with its many sports activities, beach lounge bars and tavernas. It was very nice to stay in a family home, and Markella and her husband where attentive to our every need, welcoming as well as discrete and non-intrusive in our privacy. It was good to arrive to find a few welcoming gifts like a bottle of wine and water in the fridge, home-made jam, snacks and toiletries. A very nice, personal and welcoming touch, especially being local to Paros. I would highly recommend this property. The only negative point about the property is the access to the property through a long, very narrow lane that can be awkward at times with cars coming in the opposite direction, there was a lot of maneuvering and reversing at times, but we soon got our heads’ round it and was not really a problem at all. Actually in the end its what gives places like these their charm.

Why they chose this property

I inherited the land from my family and I have always felt that I belong to this place. It is peaceful and inviting. So I built the house and I always enjoy my staying there either alone or with my family and friends.The "full house" is special because it is very close to the beach. You can go swimming and go back home to lie in the sun having your drink, listening to music or what ever you enjoy. It is quiet, no passing cars because there is no road passing through, only walking path. You may enjoy nature but you may also find tavernas and bars or super market within walking distance. If you want to "live it up" sometime, you can go to Naoussa or Parikia by car or bus very easily.You will have to spend your vacation to the house once and you'll understand what I mean. You will appreciate it!
