This was an enjoyable experience as it clean, safe and very close to old town Claremont and La Verne. The farmers market in old town Claremont on Sunday was fabulous and in walking distance. The apartment was clean, nicely furnished and a notch above with its river running through out the property.I hope to return to this location soon. This should have and could have been 5 stars. The place was clean and in a great area. Quiet neighbors and beautiful grounds. But there were some issues, nothing outrageous to warrant complaint, but when added together...The VRBO listing has inaccurate bed sizes: the bed is not a queen, but a double, and the futon is a double as well. Not a big deal, but I would not have booked it as my husband is over 6'3" and couldn't sleep in the bed. The futon was very hard.The photos are very accurate, depicting a sparse, tidy, charming place. Note that there are no side tables. Have a seat on the settee and drink a glass of wine? No can-do, no wine glasses, no table. Charge your phone, read in bed, have a glass of water? No table to set anything down. No bedside lamp.Also missing: kitchen garbage can and/or recycling bin. Small can in bathroom only. No hairdryer, but there is a curling iron. No coffee pot! There is a coffee press, but no kettle. Just inconvenient. There was some instant coffee.No spatula or serving utensils. Odd. Difficult time cooking eggs.Three bath towels, two washcloths (one with pink lipstick), but no hand towels. Wifi password didn’t work. When we got in, there was no power. My husband found the breaker box, and it reset the modem? After a few attempts, he was able to get a password off the modem. We like to book homes when we travel for the added comfort and conveniences. I would totally recommend this place to someone who just needs a place to crash.

This property was dirty: it had a dirty toilet, bathroom sink, kitchen sink, dish drying rack and microwave. There were dirt and dust bunnies on the floor. The cabinets and bathroom drawer had clothes and toiletries in it. There was no WiFi. The pool was unheated despite being advertised as heated. The check in instructions were incomplete and there were no further instructions in the property. I had to message the host to find out about getting in and out of the gated community.I strongly recommend against staying at this property and booking with this host.I’m trying to get a refund but the host and VRBO are not acting.
