About Jeannette Kavanagh
I work as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor in Yarraville, a suburb in Melbourne's west. It's the friendliest place I've lived in since coming to Australia from Dublin and I love it. My interests are broad but my greatest one is reading - more than Twitter feeds. I may be one of the last people to remain unaddicted to the thief of our focus and time, the so-called Smartphone. Of course I love spending time in what I call Paradise, the Sapphire Coast of NSW. My place in Broadwater NSW 2549 - there's more than one Broadwater. It overlooks Pambula Lake and feeds my sense of peace and tranquillity. I enjoy travelling to Europe, to my homeland Ireland and that of my husband, Greece. Paris is the most beautiful city I've ever seen and I've always found French people to be warm, welcoming and patient with my French which gets rusty through non-use.
Jeannette Kavanagh purchased this House in 1998
Why Jeannette Kavanagh chose Broadwater
The reasons for buying this property are simple. I didn't even look at the house on it. I bought the million dollar view. I plan to build on the five acres when I retire. The property was rented out to various families until I reclaimed it in 2014, as our go-to place for getaways with family and friends. I have a photo of the view from the living area as wallpaper on my laptop. No photo can do it justice but it's uplifting to see it.
What makes this House unique
You're not going to be awestruck by the architecture! This is a simple brick cottage. You'll love the sunny outlook, the clean and spacious bedrooms, the newly renovated bathroom and kitchen. It has that 'holiday house' feel to it. Nothing precious - a place in which to relax and revive your spirit. The place is all about the view. So much so that I had new floor to ceiling sliding doors installed to take full advantage of the view from everywhere in the living area. No, it's not right on the beach front but that's what I love. I have the privacy, the quiet tranquility of the birds and the kangaroos and other animals without the noise of the other humans.

Thistle Dome Awesome Heavin
Many thanks Jeanette and David for your Christmas 2019 gifts. The short stay at your place especially the beds was so comfortable. The location and the great views was everything as we expected. The communication received when it was needed was greatly appreciated. As a whole my family is looking forward in returning back to enjoy this relaxing Oasses.
Thank you so much Stav for your review. I know that you had to curtail your stay due to the fires but I'm pleased that you're keen to come back. You'll be most welcome whenever you can return - perhaps in school holidays.
Loved our stay and Jeanette is just so cool. Beautiful views, space, and privacy. Especially loved watching the kangaroos jumping around and the little joeys ... so cute. Thanks so much Jeanette! Would recommend a stay here it was very peaceful.
Thank you Mandy for your lovely review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. And yes, the dogs always love it. Wonderful to hear that there was some rain and that you see it as welcome.
Fantastic views, Jeannette was a great host, nothing was too much trouble. Loved the visiting wildlife from the kangaroos to the colourful birds. Had everything we needed.
How very kind of you Helen and Ray. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. If the birds were there, you were good to them and fed them. Enjoy the rest of Spring. Jeannette x
Pambula holiday haven
This is an excellent pet-friendly holiday haven. It is a beautiful acreage with stunning views, amazing peace and privacy, a cosy home with very comfy beds and furniture and a great TV, Foxtel and DVD unit. Close to the pretty towns of Pambula, Eden and Merimbula, it is a delightful spot for you and your 4-legged friends to enjoy.
Dear David and Juliet

Beautifully situated and well equipped overlooking lake
We loved it. The property has everything you need and is in a great location. Beds very comfortable. Jeanette was an extremely welcoming host. We would highly recommend exploring the Ben Boyd National Park with its wonderful beaches and forests only 10 minutes or so away. The views over the lake are lovely. The location is quiet and peaceful but only a short drive from shops at Pambula and Merimbula.
