Well appointed, beautiful home. It was wonderful to wake up to a view of the beach and sounds of bird.
Really glad you enjoyed the environment Barb.
Thanks for leaving the house so easy for our cleaning lady to clean.
Wonderful, we can't wait to come back!
Our family of two adults and two kids stayed in this marvellous house in this magical location of Mogareeka, five minutes north of Tathra. The house was truly exceptional, with the most wonderful views from its many, many windows across Mogareeka Inlet, the Bega River, and the ocean at Tathra Beach. The house is surrounded by national park and the birdsong was truly glorious. No need for an alarm in the mornings! The inlet is literally at the front gate, the river all of a three minute walk away, and the beach five minutes on from there. But you can see it all from the master bedroom without even leaving the house, and it was truly an amazing view to wake up to. And yes, we saw whales breaching out at sea from the house! Tathra is only five minutes drive away from the house along a very picturesque road, and it has plenty of shops, cafes and, of course, that famous wharf and pub. The house was extremely well-appointed, and although we couldn't get the free-to-air TV to work, that just meant we could enjoy the Netflix instead! Kangaroos, wallabies, parrots and - I think - a lyre bird, came to visit in the mornings. We even saw a sting ray in the inlet! A very comfortable house in a most beautiful location. (And we appreciated the bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival, and the great communication with the owner.)
Beautiful home and views and well stocked with everything you need. Great value. Some beautiful beaches nearby in the national park - can walk, or drive down dirt roads to access. Just note that wifi doesn’t work all through the house. Highly recommend this property.
Thank you Ruth & family for staying at Nampara. We hope it was a good stay.
Yes, the internet is patchy room by room. I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that.
Glad you enjoyed the unique countryside.
all the best

Located at the quieter end of Tathra Beach, you can enjoy the ambience of sea/river/bushland. Windsurfing, swimming, fishing, walking, cycling, cafe-visiting can all be enjoyed from our place. We love to walk from our home to Moon bay/Nelsons Inlet- pristine beaches & unspoilt bush lands are all to be enjoyed. From our deck we have been thrilled to watch Whales breeching as they migrate in Oct/Nov, & we keep the binoculars handy as we are blessed with abundant wildlife. Favourite haunts in Tathra( apart from lazing on the beach) are the Wharf ( ex coffee & great views), Tathra pub- (freshly renovated), the Beach cafe, & several other new cafes have just opened. Award- winning Tathra oysters direct from the Farmer are available from at the Headland. The big pine tree outside the cafe offers shade on Tathra beach, & surf- life saving club patrol the beach during summer. Kianinney Boat Harbour on the headland is a great alternative swimming/BBQ/fishing area, as is Bega River. Tathra has a Local Bakery, butcher, Newsagent, Chemist, GP's, small supermarkets & an excellent Bicycle Hire shop. Merimbula is a 20 min drive, & its lovely too for its beaches, walks, & shops.Bar Beach being a fave. Pambula, 10 mins on, is superb too for its beaches, & we love the river mouth & Broadwater Lake oysters. The old Pambula racetrack is now a bird sanctuary, and is delightful. Pambula village boasts Wild Rye Bakery & they have terrific bread, Loretta at Hair Rock & Scissors gives a fab facial/massage, & McGills Art gallery is great to visit. Eve's dress shop, & newly opened Black Daisy are good too! BenBoyd National Park, & Eden are essential to see. Eden is a beautiful working town, & Twofold bay is stunning. The fish shop at the marina is great, & you can buy Mussels straight off the boat. The whaling history of the area is a sad fact, & the museum & old whaling station are good to visit. In the opposite direction, we love the drive from our home to Bermagui- many inlets, & beaches to stop at along the way; rich dairy country, & the Four Winds Pavillion where wonderful concerts are held is unique, and a "must- see." Bermagui has several great cafes/restaurants overlooking the marina, & you can easily loop around to Tilba Tilba, a heritage listed town with quaint shops in a lovely rural setting, then through Cobargo- another great old town with interesting galleries/shops , ( & excellent locally made icecream) to Bega, a fine old rural hub, home of Bega Cheese. We love to visit the Spiral Gallery in Bega as it showcases interesting local artwork. We enjoy local market shopping, and historic Candelo is great for this. Narooma is another easy drive & great for a day trip. NSW's Far South Coast is simply fantastic, and a unique part of Australia's diverse landscape.
