Captain's House in Serifos, a unique experience!

The house is an original stone town house that dates back to the 19th century and belong to my family since then. If you want to have a unique experience, you are welcome to Captain Yiorghis House!

The house has two bedrooms, a living room (sala) and a dining room, as well as a full equipped kitchen and bathroom. Enjoy your aperitif in the terrace with our home made wine and prepare your dinner to the kitchen with rosemary and oregan from our garden!

You can come to the house from the port of Serifos by bus or by taxi. It is only 5 minutes drive from the port. There are some steps to reach the house, about 30 meters from the main road, on the traditional path A1 that connects Livadi to Chora.

The house is situated in Kato Chora, next to the Primary School and the Folklore Museum. The museum's collection features objects of the traditional life of the island, but also samples of the mineral resources of Serifos. There is also an open theater where a range of cultural events are held in summer.

Chora is built amphitheatrically on a rocky hill gazing the island from the top. In its narrows streets, you’ll find some bars, cafés and tavernas, bakery and mini markets. Do not miss walking up to the Venetian castle, built in the 15th century, to amaze the view of the blue sea!

Livadi (the port), at 3 kilometers from the house, is the touristic center of the island, where you can find the post office, travel agency, bank, ATM, petrol station, super markets and several restaurants, bars and clubs.

Due to the island’s unique morphology, Serifos has 72 beaches, on a wide variety for all tastes. Explore the well hidden ones if retreat is what you seek, or visit the most accessible ones for relaxation.

For the ones that love hiking, Serifos has about 80 kilometers of paths, streets and dirt roads. These trails are all very impressive, each one with its own beauty, all together representing the original image of Serifos.
