Sorry, no wedding or party requests or wedding eve/night bookings please.
The barn is located on one of the quietest roads in Red Hill. Situated on a rural property, your nearest neighbours are a small herd of cows on one side, horses on the other. Birdlife abounds on the property's dam. You won't hear traffic noise and can wake to birdsong. The views of rolling hills are spectacular.
You are welcome to roam the barn paddock which incorporates the olive grove, vines and picturesque dam. As this is a working farm with operating machinery and cattle, please stay within the expansive barn paddock and leave any gates as you find them (open or closed).
Restaurants, wineries and food stores are within a short drive. Port Phillip Bay and Westernport Bay are equal distances away. A number of beaches are no more than 15 minutes drive. Our favourite restaurant, Polperro, is just around the corner. Foxy's Hangout, another favourite, is perfect for lunch (and where our grapes get made into wine). Get great coffee and gourmet food at Red Hill Cellar and Pantry - the area's loveliest supermarket in Red Hill South. Visit Johnny Ripe for the best apple pies ever.
Guests are required to provide their own towels and bedlinen (top and bottom sheets and pillowcases for a king bed and four singles).

Such an ideal location for a beautiful relaxing get away. The host was so welcoming, and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. We hope to visit again and have recommend this gorgeous little place to our friends and family.
We had a wonderful winter break here. The views were amazing and the home was very comfortable. Host and property manager were very helpful and accommodating,
Second time staying at the Barn in Red Hill and once again, the accomodation was excellent. Beautiful property and interiors. Great location. Couldn't recommend more highly.
A very relaxing stay at the barn with a lovely warm open fire, well appointed and in a great area. Our hosts we fantastic helping with any little details and the local area has some amazing cafes and wineries. Highly recommend
Such a lovely property, with all the amenities you need for a lovely stay. The views are so beautiful over the valley and it’s so relaxing. The extra touches by the host (fresh flowers, eggs, soaps) add to the overall stay.
We had such a lovely stay at Kristines property. We were lucky enough to see the cutest Lambs which the kids loved watching.
We were well looked after and enjoyed playing with the kids on the grass each afternoon and keeping cosy by the fire each evening.
A beautiful and quiet spot on the Mornington peninsula for relaxing and exploring the area.
We enjoyed the fire, the quiet and checking out nearby wineries, galleries, food stores and cafes. The Barn is clean and beautifully maintained with thoughtful additions of leafy vege and herbs left for us to enjoy. The owner was great to deal with and very responsive. We would definitely do it all again!
Nice place with nice bush views. As per other reviewers not providing bed linen was a pain as we do not have a king size bed and sheets. We had to take an extra suite case just for linen, which was not a problem as we drove from Sydney but if you were flying would be a hassle.Great supermarkets in the area and some nice walks.
We loved our 2 night stay at the Barn. Everything from the quiet surroundings, the spacious living areas, the comfortable beds, the helpful recommendations and the lovely host was spot on. Will certainly be back again.
Overall we enjoyed our stay as a family of 4. The surroundings were picturesque and a real escape from the city. Things to note if you’re particular about bathrooms which the photos don’t show.
Pros: comfortable beds, excellent fireplace for a quiet afternoon in when the weather turned, good design with mud room and landing zone upon entry, appreciated the amenities including pod coffee machine and washer/dryer. Lovely and tasteful styling just enough not to feel cluttered. Surroundings all to yourself the main selling point here, able to be enjoyed from the deck or upstairs balcony. Kids loved their bedroom and their doonas were plush.
Areas for improvement/negatives: Can sleep 6 with the 2 x bunk beds, however the bathroom would struggle to service this many people. Bathrooms make or break a stay for me and I wasn’t a fan of this one; wooden floor with a rug was a strange choice for me. Shower could be improved- showing some wear and tear, and not consistent with the ‘5 star’ luxury ratings some reviewers gave. Sink and tap combo made it hard to wash your face without getting water all over the vanity. Not enough towel rails even for 4 people, a hanging rack for the bath mat would have been good. Free Wifi advertised, but closer to our stay when we received checkin instructions, we were advised the service was limited (namely facebook and instagram can use large amounts of data), so felt we weren’t free to use it. Fine if you’re wanting to completely disconnect, but listing should be updated if this is the policy.
Great location, lovely old barn in need of a little tlc but has everything you need and close to wineries and restaurants. The property is surrounded by fields and very peaceful.
We needed a quiet break close to nature, close to family. This place was perfect for us. Beautiful winter sun through the windows most morning, roaring fire at night. Idyllic. A more reliable internet server is the only area in need of attention. Hosts are excellent.
We had the most perfect stay in Red Hill with the most perfect accommodation. The Barn really was as perfect as it looks in the pictures. It was also extremely clean. The gorgeous fire place made it perfect, and there was ample fire wood and kindling supplied. Communications with Kristine were great - she was always punctual and very helpful with her response - thank you! We look forward to visiting again soon and have already recommended the stay to many of our friends.
My family and I had a wonderful stay for a long weekend and loved every minute of it. The property was gorgeous and every detail attended to, from the fully equipped kitchen and laundry to the wood being fully stocked for the fireplace and flowers in vases. The cleanliness of the property was exceptional and allowed for a lovely and easy arrival. The surrounding grounds are really scenic and plenty of space of picnics and exploring. Kristine was wonderful to deal with and all communication was fantastic and simple. Would highly recommend the property and we would definitely look to stay again when visiting the area. Thanks Kristine!
Immaculate home with wonderful host in ideal county setting close to all things great in red hill. Would come back at a moments notice. Wonderful winter/autumn destination although we had some pretty crazy weather and still loved every moment.
Peaceful stay sharing the property with a beautiful kookaburra family!
Great escape to the peace of RedHill.

About the host

We love our little slice of rural paradise in Red Hill and are happy to welcome you to experience it. I worked for many years in hospitality in my earlier career, including in five star hotels. My later career has been in fashion design and interiors. In more recent years we've had some amazing experiences in HomeAway/Stayz properties around the world with our four children.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this property instantly and feel so lucky to be part of the Mornington Peninsula. Red Hill is a fabulously central location to experience all that the Peninsula has to offer.
What makes this property unique
There aren't many parts of the Peninsula where you can escape traffic noise. Our quiet country road is one of the few. The rural views are stunning. The feedback we get again and again is that our barn is better than described in the listing.
