This charming, rustic cabin near Au Gres is the perfect retreat for guests traveling with pets. Escape the hustle and bustle with your furry friends to relax in this 80-year-old log cabin without giving up modern amenities such as furnace/central air, municipal water, coffee bar and Wi-Fi.

With 2 queen beds, 1 full bed, 1 twin bed and a dog bed, this cozy getaway is ideal for a family or a friends weekend. Enjoy a peaceful campfire and sounds of Lake Huron waves lapping the beach just 300 yards away - tranquility while staying close to fun, adventure and activities. Take your dogs down the gravel road to the beach for a dip in the lake and a run in the sand! Or, watch a beautiful sunrise over the lake from the front yard before heading across the highway with your foursome for an early tee time. And, even though we're in a community, wildlife is out and about for the nature lovers! Squirrels, chipmunks, birds, foxes, maybe even a frog or garter snake, sometimes a raccoon or deer set off the motion light at night...don't be surprised if you spot something fun and interesting!

Inside: Wash dishes, leave in rack. Bag trash and leave in the black cans outside. Place used towels in bathroom basket. Sweep sand/pet hair from floors. Remove excess pet hair from bedding.
Outside: Fold colored campfire chairs and place on the porch. Pick up trash, beer/pop cans, etc. Extinguish firepit/grill fires. Wire brush outdoor grill if used. Leave front/back porch lights on.
Friendly Reminders: Check in drawers and under beds/furniture for personal items and dog toys. Remove toiletries from the shower and bathroom sink.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Cute little family friendly spot for a getaway. The neighborhood was so quiet and lovely. Just a quick walk to the beach where there was never anyone else. It's hard to find a place that my teens and preteen would be happy and this worked great. It was nice being able to take our dog with us for once. Having toys and bowls for the pets was a great touch. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin! It was the perfect place for our family, especially since we were traveling with our cat and dog. The host was fantastic—very responsive, helpful, and quick to take care of anything we needed. We truly appreciated the thoughtful welcome touches for our pets, which made us feel right at home. The cabin’s location was amazing, just a short distance from the beach, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Cute and cozy! House was clean and had lots of available sleeping space.Great for a birthday getaway. Two fire pits and a stone grill, plus a stone's throw from Lake Huron!Definitely going back, perfect escape for any season!

One bedroom door does not close tight, needs attention. Poor lighting over the dining area. Secondary door to bathroom needs to be sealed better-lack of privacy.

Thanks for the feedback. I really wish you would have reached out regarding any issues so they could have been resolved. Addressing your concerns: -The secondary door is the original bathroom door. It was left in place and locked (but not sealed) because its larger size allows people with accessibility needs such as a walker or wheelchair to use the bathroom more comfortably. -We will have the bedroom door looked at and adjusted. If you wouldn't mind, please message privately which door needs attention. -While the kitchen table does sit in front of the natural light sliding door, it can be a bit dim. This 80 year old former hunting cabin has no overhead lights nor wiring for it, unfortunately. Thanks, and I apologize that your stay was not as enjoyable as you would have liked.
