Wow - Amazing Property and Great Memories

When we found On River Time online, it seemed too good to be true - beautiful home, clean and stocked with what we needed, steps from fly fishing when whenever we wanted. It delivered all of this and more. The check-in was so simple, access was a breeze, and the house was amazing. We were there to fish, and access to the Crystal River was so easy - just walk out the back door about 100 feet and BAM you're there, start casting! Thanks for making our trip to Redstone one we'll remember forever!

Adorable home in the adorable town of Redstone

On River Time was beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished and spotless -- a perfect combination. Our family of six stayed for six nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen contained all the pots, pans, and tools necessary to cook up a fantastic meal. Highlights for us included a breakfast nook with an incredible view (perfect for playing board games), cozy beds with cute linens and a gorgeous yard fronting the river. Despite the cold temperatures, our children spent hours each day playing alongside the river's edge. The town of Redstone is adorable (and tiny), and the drive into Carbondale for supplies is scenic and easy. The internet wasn't as fast as our internet at home but was sufficient so long as it wasn't snowing. The owner was responsive and delightful to work with. Would enthusiastically return again!

A gem in Redstone, CO - Plan NOW to stay at this home!

Our family cannot say enough GREAT things about this home, it's location, the amenities, the meticulous detail given to the layout and decor - everything from the moment we arrived was fabulous! There is ample room to relax and unwind inside in this beautiful home. It is spacious and comfortable - even the beds! Everything is so well done and very clean and inviting. But the outside was even better! Our family thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the river every afternoon/evening, wading in it, and just enjoying our own little happy hour, conversation and being together in such beauty. What a gorgeous location! After dinner we would end up at the fire pit which was also spectacular. One rainy evening we also enjoyed the front porch view, even seeing baby deer munching on the bushes in the next lot. We played bocci ball in the spacious yard and used the grill multiple times for relaxing family dinner. Honestly we could go on and on. Redstone was delightful - the location was great. We hiked, played golf, drove to Marble, took a day trip to Black Canyon of the Gunnison (north rim), visited Maroon Bells, Aspen, Carbondale (El Pollo Rico for Mexican - Village Smithy for breakfast) and, Basalt - all accessible easily from this location. It was spectacular in every way. 100% certain we will return and tell our friends. Thank you to the Long's for a superb job in providing top-of-the-line accommodations and always being responsive to any questions we had during our stay.

Exceptional! We had a wonderful stay at On River Time. This is a special home in a special town, truly a unique vacation spot. The house and property were perfect for us. We loved the relaxed feeling of the home and its outdoor spaces, especially the fire pit, river seating and front porch. The host was great and the house was equipped, even for our grandchildren. We could have stayed on the property the whole time and enjoyed ourselves, but the town and surrounding areas also offer plenty to do. It’s only a 10 minute walk to several restaurants, a small grocery store, and a park for children (and outdoor music if you’re lucky)! Lots of hiking right outside the front door and much more within a short drive. We explored a lot and think it would be hard to find a better location than On River Time in Redstone. We hope to go back!

Home away from home

Thank you SO much for our third stay at On River Time. The house is still beautiful, clean, and the neighborhood is still wonderful and quiet. We’re impressed with all the new stores and businesses on the street. LOVE the boulevard and barrel addition. We came for our fifth wedding anniversary, this time we brought our in-laws and our five year old daughter. She ended up making friends with the other girls who live in the neighborhood and had a fabulous time at the park. The backyard leads right onto the river and the adrenal chairs are perfect for chilling and watching the natural environment. The mountains are wonderful, the street is wonderful, the house has everything you need, everything is easy to use. You just feel good being there. Thank you again for having us. We look forward to returning.

Perfect Riverside Getaway

This is our fourth time staying in this home for our annual family trip. This home has a welcoming vibe and it's easy to settle in. The host has thought of every detail! White Christmas in Redstone

We are repeat renters to Redstone but this was our first Christmas here. It was magical! The house was decorated for Christmas with lights, a tree, and stockings (Yes, Santa found his way down the chimney!). Redstone village and the Inn were decorated as well. Ice skating at Ron’s rink and sledding just across the Blvd on the road up to East Creek made for perfect holiday memories. And snow on Christmas Eve! Just perfect! The house as always was clean and comfortable. Perfect spot for a relaxing vacation.

One of the best VRBO homes we have stayed in! So clean, adorable decor, extremely well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, back yard right on the river. Beautiful scenery everywhere and close to Carbondale for groceries… We enjoyed several meals at the historic Redstone Inn. What an enjoyable place to stay!

We live nearby and spend as much time as possible surrounded by the natural splendor of Redstone. We are committed to preserving the area's historic charm and character, while sharing this largely undiscovered treasure with fellow explorers.

Why they chose this property

One of the best things about the property is how you feel as if you have stepped into another time. A time when the pace was slower and you are surrounded by peaceful solitude. You can choose simply to relax or can take part in the many adventures just steps beyond the front door. Our favorite feature of the property is the kitchen breakfast nook and the primary bedroom suite both with amazing panoramic views of the Crystal River and nearby Elephant Mountain and Redstone Cliffs.

What makes this property unique

Our home is located at the end of Redstone Boulevard and is bordered on the north side by Pitkin County Open Space. This wonderful riverside location affords a unique sense of privacy and closeness with nature. It's almost like camping... but distinctly different and arguably better!
