Nice and clean!

We loved staying there the week of San Antonio stock show. It was a great place to come and relax and unwind after a hard day. The beds are SUPER comfortable.

Comfortable stay

This was definitely a home away from home. All amenities were thought of and provided. I was able to provide my son with home-cooked meals. I recommend staying here if you have someone graduating from BMT or just need a peaceful getaway. Thanks to the Hopkins family for everything!

Family Wedding

The "Northeast Side" home was everything that we had hoped for. Plenty of room for our 5-adults and two younger children, and we didn't even use one of the four bedrooms. The owners were very easy to work with, during the payment stages and accommodated us in adding an extra night, shortly before our stay. We will certainly consider renting this home again, should the need arise in the future.

Home Away From Home

Wonderful location for a girls getaway to San Antonio and touring The Painted Churches of Schulenberg. The amenities and personal touches made this visit comfortable and easy. Beautiful green space behind the property invited morning/evening visits from deer; relaxing game room stocked with ping pong table, movies, and comfortable seating area; well-furnished kitchen with high-end appliances and shareable pantry; and comfy beds/linens with plenty of room for everyone. Darryl was an attentive host and even provided signs throughout the house to help answer our questions before we even asked! Would definitely stay here again and reccommend for groups/families. We felt right at home and enjoyed our stay very much. Thanks, Darryl!

This is our second year to stay here during the San Antonio stock show. It is in a great neighborhood and easy to get to. Oh and the master bedroom bed is the best!

Amazing Property!

Our stay at Daryll's property was short but absolutely perfect. The home itself is beautiful, comfortable and amazingly clean. The family room provides a relaxed area to enjoy family with plenty of movie, Netflix or other streamed services. Only one of us (not me) was any good at ping pong so out attempts were few. The back patio is awesome and we did spend a little time out there playing corn hole. If it were June instead of January we would most definitely have been out there more. Daryll stopped in and greeted us and gave us a few pointers on how things worked at the house. He was most gracious and helpful! The kitchen is amazing with state of the art appliances. It is stocked with everything you can imagine! This wonderful home is set is a nice quiet neighborhood and is convenient The Forum, Walmart, HEB and endless restaurants. Also, less than 30 min to the airport. If you are blessed to have a stay at Daryll's perfect property you will love every minute!

A welcoming place to come home to each night.

The house was very clean and well stocked. The game room was a nice addition, especially the ping pong table! We enjoyed some time outdoors playing corn hole as well. If it is winter I would recommend you bring slippers as the floors were cold. I am sure they feel wonderful in the hotter months. Location is not too far from everything. We were very pleased with the choice.

Great place for a family get together

This house was the perfect place for our Christmas gathering of family from all around the country. Lots of room and conveniently located for exploring all San Antonio has to offer. My home away from home was EXCELLENT!!

Darryl’s home met all of mine and my families expectations! Neighborhood was so nice and quiet our children played basketball outside like if they were at they’re own home. Top tier home. Will definitely use again.

I stay in a lot of rental homes, and this one is top notch. It's extremely clean & well-cared for. Lots of hidden extras. The pantry has lots of basic food items. More cookware than you'll need. The patio/family room is a great place to relax & hangout. Perfect for kids and adults. Reliable high speed internet. We also enjoyed seeing 10-15 deer every night around 6pm come right up to fence to feed. It's a reasonable drive to the downtown area (25 minutes or so). Great community pool just a mile away. Lots of nearby restaurants, Walmart, HEB, etc. The next time we're in San Antonio, we'll definitely come back.

Perfect for a large family

We have 5 children and we absolutely loved our stay here. The neighborhood was quiet, the house is well decorated, and the kitchen has been updated. The beds were comfortable with plenty of space for all 7 of us. The game room with ping pong table got plenty of use. We spent hours in there enjoying time with our kids. It's just a few minutes from restaurants and shopping, and not a bad drive from downtown and all of the exciting things to do in San Antonio. The owners were quick to respond and very kind and welcoming. The only slight negative is they are a half mile from an air force base and you can hear planes (not jets) flying overhead in the mornings as pilots train. With fans on, however, they really weren't a disruption. We would definitely stay here again.

AWESOME IN EVERY WAY!

Our family had the pleasure of staying in this lovely place and all of us said the same thing about our experience "AWESOME". The design of the home lends itself to entertaining and flows so well as far as feeding a crowd. (we had it full) The ping pong table got lots of use as well as the state of the art kitchen.( every chef's dream). We loved the location and found our way around to nearby activities and stores without any problem. The owner anticipated our every need and gave us a welcome tour and was there for anything we needed. We loved spending our Thanksgiving in this beautifully decorated home and would love to make it a tradition to gather here every year. If we could we would give this special place a 10 star review.

Great home experience!

This home was perfect for our needs. We needed a home that was children friendly and this home was exactly that. I appreciated the room with two small beds, the play room with movies and games, and the ping pong table. Beautiful home in an excellent location

Very spacious and clean home with large game room. Location is central to major roads to get you to local attractions as well as grocery, gas, and other necessities. The owner met us at the home and gave personal tour of the home with run down of rules and expectations. He was very attentive and made sure all of our needs were met and questions answered. It was like home away from home. It was nice to see all the deer that came to the back fence morning and evening. Very nice neighbors and quiet neighborhood. We had a comfortable experience, lots of room , and felt very much at home. The owner welcomed us , and was very attentive ! This house is in a good neighborhood , close to the major highway. Overall, it was a wonderful time and definitely preferred staying in this home over being in a hotel !

Minnie and her family were a delight to host, it was their first time and they were rock-stars. The effectively communicated with me before, during, and after their stay, they followed the house rules, and left the house as they had found it. Beautiful home with lots of space !

We came down with family for our sons AF graduation, and the house couldn’t have worked out better. Very clean and beautiful. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this home for anyone visiting the area. Pending on traffic it could be 25 mins to an hour to base. (traffic can be thick so give yourself plenty of time)

We are glad we were able to provide a Home away from Home for Mary and her family during their son's Air Force Graduation. My wife and I are retired military and look forward to hosting past, present, and future military families. We try our best to make all of our guest's stay as positive and enjoyable as possible. We believe that we can provide a better option than a hotel with space and amenities to provide a comfortable experience. Mary and her family took great care of our property and left it in good order. She even left me a note letting me know that a plate had been broken during their visit. Integrity is a big part of the military and as the owner of the house we appreciated her upfront honesty, as opposed finding broken plates and wondering what other things were messed up. We highly recommend Mary and her family as a guest and would definitely provide our Home for her in the future.

My wife and I are both Veterans and have traveled all over the world. We have this nice ranch style house that we want to share as an option over a boring hotel room.

Why they chose this property

This house is centrally located, just 1.5 miles to Loop 1604 which takes you to every other major highway in SA. You can be on the other side of SA in about 30 mins depending on traffic.

This house is fully stocked with everything you would cook a full course meal, local grocery store (HEB) and Walmart within 5 min drive.

Close to anywhere you want to go, based on traffic you can be anywhere in San Antonio in 30-40 minutes.
