About this property
Teaberry Vista Lodge with a Million Dollar Valley View-5 minutes to the GSMNP
This one-of-a-kind Wears Valley mountain retreat could be the setting for your next unforgettable vacation as you reconnect with family and friends. Come experience the most stunning feature of this house that can’t really be captured in photos – the awe-inspiring view of Wears Valley and the Great Smoky Mountains. You’ll feel your heartbeat slow and you’ll be happy to call this cabin home as you experience this sanctuary from the pressures of daily life. Even folks who have lived in this area all of their lives comment that the views from the two-level expansive decks are perhaps the most amazing they’ve seen.
Enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck as you watch the sun rise over the valley and the Great Smoky Mountains beyond. Gather with the rest of your friends and family to make breakfast in the well-appointed kitchen before you all head out to the many activities that have drawn you to the area.
Some of you may drive six minutes to an entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain Park for hiking and fly fishing. Some of you may prefer the countless attractions like Dollywood in Pigeon Forge (15 miles) or Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg (17 miles). Others might want to shop at the Tanger Outlets (12 miles). In the warmer weather, some of you might choose to head to the nearby pool that sits beside a great café and a catch and release pond for fishing. Then, when you all gather back at the house, you can relax around the fire in the spacious living room, enjoy the evening views from the fabulous hot tub on the deck, or watch a movie in the state-of-the-art media room.
For those of you who prefer to stay close to home, there are window seats and reading areas throughout, along with a variety of books to enjoy while you’re here. Or you can enjoy one of our favorite spots at the table in the upstairs window alcove with views on three sides -- perfect for sharing a puzzle or a board game. The smaller children in your group can get cozy in the kids’ nook (one of the huge master closets that’s been transformed with fairy lights, a play tent, and some lounging cushions). And if one of you needs this to be a working vacation, we’ve provided business grade Wi-Fi to help with communication.
Your choices go on and on. The game room has a pool table and Multi-cade game console with over 40 games. The media room has twelve comfy recliners with cup holders so that everyone can enjoy the surround-sound from the 75” HD TV with DVD player. The downstairs kitchen allows for easy snack prep for everyone watching movies or enjoying the hot tub. There’s a gas grill on the upper deck just outside the kitchen for more cooking options. You’ll appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail in all of the furniture, fixtures, and appointments, but everything is intended for comfortable, real-life enjoyment.
This 4400 square-foot house sleeps a total of 14. You’ll have the choice of three king-bed suites and one suite with two queen beds. All of the suites have views of the Smoky Mountains, flat screen TVs, large walk-in-closets, and private bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs, tile showers, and over-sized vanities. The kids will love the sleeping alcove downstairs that has two twin bunk bed sets with a full bathroom just around the corner.
Of course, you’ll have access to the tools of daily life including hairdryers, irons, ironing boards, a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer, and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. We also have a Pack ‘n Play and a high chair for our youngest guests.
Our goal is that you’ll feel comfortable and beyond satisfied here – and that you won’t want to leave! We’ve tried to think of everything, but if we haven’t then please let us know so that we can try to improve our next guest’s experience. We want you to remember this as one of your best vacations yet, and we hope that we’ll see you back here again!

About the host
Hosted by David Haenel

I’m originally from New Jersey outside Philadelphia, but I moved to Florida in 2000. I’ve been hosting Airbnb and Vrbo houses for the past nine years and I truly love providing an amazing guest experience. I love delivering a final product to the level that I would want. I implement things constantly to provide an amazing guest experience. I want you to leave any of my rentals and say to your family and friends what an amazing experience you just had.
Why they chose this property
I have been in real estate for many many years and have purchased and sold various properties. The view of the valley from the wrap around porch on this house garners an amazing WOW effect!!
Having acquired the property mid year 2025 and speaking with returning guests, some of them 7 or 8 times, they just love the house, like I’m confident you will.

What makes this property unique
Welcome to Teaberry Vista Lodge, a true Smoky Mountain retreat designed for unforgettable gatherings. What sets our cabin apart is the rare combination of space, luxury, and breathtaking views. Perched above peaceful Wears Valley, our 4,400 sq ft lodge offers sweeping, unobstructed panoramas of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. From sunrise coffee on the wrap-around deck to sunsets over the ridges, the scenery here is truly unforgettable.
With 5 bedrooms, 5+ bathrooms, and space for up to 14 guests, our cabin is ideal for multi-family vacations, reunions, or groups of friends. Each suite offers privacy and comfort, many with jetted tubs, while expansive living areas create space to come together. Gather by the stone fireplace, share meals around the large dining table, or enjoy a movie night in the theater room.
Entertainment is built into every corner — a full game room with pool table and arcade console, a bubbling hot tub overlooking the valley, and multiple decks for relaxation. Families especially love that kids can play while adults unwind in peace. And unlike many “mountain view” cabins that require steep climbs, ours combines stunning vistas with easy access.
Our location is unbeatable: just 5 minutes to the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a short drive to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Dollywood, while still offering the quiet charm of Wears Valley.
What makes Teaberry Vista Lodge unique is the balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. From quality furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches throughout, we’ve created more than just a rental — we’ve created a home designed for memories.
Come experience the Smokies from a lodge that offers room for everyone, entertainment for all ages, and views you’ll never forget
