Tucked away in the peaceful beauty of the Coosawattee River Resort, just 15 minutes from Downtown Ellijay, this cabin is a cozy retreat where refined simplicity meets nature’s charm. Your getaway begins the moment you enter the resort—paved roads winding through serene woods, ducks by the water, and deer grazing nearby set the tone for the quiet stay ahead.

Pull up to your cabin and step into relaxation. A fully fenced backyard—complete with a firepit, outdoor seating, and plenty of space for your dog(s) to roam—invites you to settle in and stay awhile. Whether you’re sipping coffee as the sun rises or toasting marshmallows under the stars, this space was made for lingering.

Inside, you’ll find all the comforts of home and then some. The kitchen is stocked and ready for you to channel your inner chef, with plenty of seating at both the counter-height island and dining table for six. The living room offers cozy recliner sofas, a gas fireplace, books, games, and flat-screen TVs in every room. A complimentary YouTubeTV subscription ensures you won’t miss the big game or local news, and with your own streaming logins, movie nights are effortless.

But here’s the best part: this cabin was designed with your four-legged family members in mind. We’ve thought of everything—from crates, blankets, bowls, and toys to treats, grooming supplies, and even a doggie first-aid kit. A well needed reset

We really needed a weekend getaway. It was a perfect cabin for my hubby, me, and our furbaby. The added touches for our furbaby were greatly appreciated! She enjoyed the fenced in yard, while we were able to relax and not worry about her. The cabin had everything that we could ever need. It was an absolute perfect weekend and so much appreciated. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin!

Oh So Cozy

This was our second stay with Timeless Destinations as we love to travel with our young pups Barron and Enzo- @brothersbraque (French Pointers). They have high demands of snuggling and being by our side at all times which made the layout of the living space in this cabin ideal. The kitchen is open to the living room and its gas fireplace with all reclining seats that even the dogs got a kick out of because they could snuggle up and watch outside. The cabin had all the ideal amenities you would expect but truly goes above and beyond for travelers with dogs. It’s such a relief to have not to pack up our own crate or dog bowls. The yard was securely fenced and just big enough to keep an eye on dogs while allowing them space to run. The special little touches from Andrea throughout reminds you this is operated by someone who really gets it- a true dog lover- and not some big box outfit. We have 1 more cabin to try with this group and hope they add more to the collection soon!

After having successfully launched Shepherds Lounge and Shepherds Run (later acquired), followed by Paws and Linger Retreat, this is the 4th property that caters to our best friends aka doggies aka furbabies - at the same time providing a quality stay for their humans! I am originally from Austria, a veteran of the service industry and I love my dogs - always take them with me when going places. The amount of items I had to pack just for the dogs was overwhelming. On top of that, sleeping arrangements in many locations are mediocre, leading to sleepless nights or sore backs. After hours on the road, you find empty cabinets, not even a speck of salt, an empty fridge, no shampoo in the bathroom, no laundry detergent, not even a bottle of water. I decided to do better, compiled a list of all the things I would like to find upon arrival and started a business. This cabin was well looked after by its owners, who currently reside in Florida. I am looking forward to hearing about your experience and suggestions!

Why they chose this property

I love dogs! Dogs are family. For me the true definition of dog friendly is not charging a fee, your dogs stay for FREE! I like to think that makes a property a REAL "DOG FRIENDLY" place. This and a fenced yard to roam around and have fun. Check out my other properties "Shepherds Run" and "Paws and Linger Retreat" located in Ellijay! Shepherds Lounge is moving to a new location in 2026! Just grab your dog(s), their food and any special items they may need. Vineyards are all dog friendly with one exception. So are most of the local hangout places. Did I say I LOVE DOGS? Let me know anytime what I can do to make your and your furbabies stay even better! Thank you and enjoy your vacation!

What makes this property unique

Beautifully maintained, rustic style mountain cabin with sleek and soft bedding and linens. Game room with foosball and pool table, walk right outside into the fenced areas to the hot tub and down some stairs to the fire pit. Fully fenced yard for the furbabies, and they stay for free! Nicely stocked kitchen, just bring your favorite food. Loft to hang out and play some games. Screened porch with Bbq grill to avoid the pesky bugs.
