Welcome to Casa Hibiscus! Amenities galore!! Hot tub+bike+bbq+fire pit ! Pets!
Casa Hibiscus is an adorable studio situated behind the main house, Casa Mimosa, where I live. It is in walking distance to the U of A and the University Medical Center. PETS ALLOWED! You are 15 minutes away by car from the Tucson botanical gardens and our fabulous zoo. Tombstone is a 90 minute drive away. The iconic Arizona Inn is a 2 minute walk from the house. They have fabulous gardens, two restaurants and a piano bar for your enjoyment. The guesthouse has a queen bed and a roll away bed on request plus full kitchen and all the amenities you can think of. Casa Hibiscus is a jewel in the desert. It is surrounded by a 7 foot retaining wall which is perfect for privacy and security. At night, the only sound you may hear is the howling of a coyote or two on Arizona Inn property. This is a fully furnished studio with its own front patio and private small backyard. Most of the artwork at Casa Hibiscus is original and many of the artists are friends of mine. My eclectic decorating style comes from years of traveling. There is also a washer/ dryer on the side of the Casa with detergent and dryer sheets for your convenience. In Tucson, we use our outside space as much as our inside. You can see from the photographs that there are many quaint areas on the property to sit back and relax. There is a hot tub/cold plunge for your enjoyment year round as well as a fire pit. Feel like cooking outdoors? There is a gas barbecue available and outside tables to enjoy the starry nights. There is also a bicycle and helmet that you're welcome to use while you are here. I have tried to think of everything you might need to make you feel at home here. You have shampoo, cream rinse and bath gel for the shower as well as body lotion and travel size items that you might have forgotten. There are also 2 plush bath robes plus slippers for your convenience. There is an iron and ironing board plus a bed tray if you choose to have coffee or snacks in bed. The kitchen has pots and pans, cooking utensils and is always stocked with coffee and tea and bottled water. There will always be bagels, cream cheese, butter and preserves for you. I keep a bowl of individually wrapped snacks for your convenience while you are here. Since my house is on the property, if there is anything that you need that I have available, I am happy to let you borrow it. Enjoy!

This was a great stay and Elizabeth was such a wonderful host and person! Her place was just as advertised…clean, intimate, private patio and courtyard, and a fabulous location. Close to Sun Link and excellent restaurants! She had so many yummy treats awaiting my arrival. Loved having the desk and the bed was heavenly! Great neighborhood and very safe walking and biking there. I fell in love with Elizabeth and her gorgeous home. I will return with my dog and stay longer! What a great stay!
SECOND time staying here THIS YEAR. That's how lovely it was. The property is clean, spacious, private, accommodating. The host is wonderful! There's a hot tub and a barbecue, the perks go above and beyond. This has easily been my most pleasant experience on VRBO so far. So so so worth it.
The casita was very well-stocked and the owner was extremely accommodating and generous. The hot tub is an added bonus. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Tucson. Highly recommend.
Loved the casita. It was perfect for me, my husband and pups while we were in town for a dog show. Elizabeth is quite possibly the sweetest thing in Tucson. Would definitely recommend and will stay here next time!
The property was beautiful and Elizabeth goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The cottage is tucked behind the main house, but it's easy to come and go. And the hot tub and outdoor seating were incredibly relaxing. We'd definitely stay here again!
Everything was very clean. Our pet got to roam the yard but we also had our own private patio. Our host, Elizabeth, was just the sweetest lady. If we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. I would highly recommend staying here.
Comfortable, clean, adorable casita with a fabulous host! Spent the weekend with my daughter here and we enjoyed the private patio, restful bed and all the amenities Elizabeth provided, as well as getting to know this lovely host. Will be back!!

Excellent accommodations!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Hibiscus. It had all the amenities we want on vacation and more. Elizabeth went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. When we were not hiking or out-and-about, we enjoyed the outdoor amenities, including the hot tub. We would highly recommend Casa Hibiscus and Elizabeth as a great place to stay in Tucson1
Just like the listing. Elizabeth was great accommodating but not at all overbearing. Felt like you had the property to your self. It isn't large but was perfect for my wife and I. Located just on the east side of campus so anything UA related is very close.
The Casa Hibiscus was an amazing place to stay while in Tucson for Work/Fun for a week. From the stocked coffee and bagels for breakfast each morning to the bicycle I used to commute around, everything was taken care of. Getting in and out of the casita was simple and I could go on my own schedule. Elizabeth is an amazingly gracious host and made sure I was fully taken care of. I'll certainly be back someday!
The property was fantastic. Elizabeth maintains a beautiful outdoor space with various settings within the yard. The guest house is well stocked, clean, and comfortable with plenty of room for 2 adults. She is a personable, gracious, and attentive host. She responds within minutes to messages. We are very pleased our stay and would repeat.
Everything was very enjoyable. Use of BBQ was very ood and work great. Tables and chairs located outside were very usable and enjoyable. Although unit is compact it has everything we needed and didn't seem compact. Great lighting. Elizabeth was very friendly and very helpful with recommendations of place to go. She made sure everything was okay and that we were enjoying ourselves.
Due to the unusually cold weather in Tucson we needed to have the casita’s heat on. The A/C unit that also provided heat would not turn off, and we were told to just unplug it when the room temperature was to our liking. It was an awkward and unsafe way to deal with the problem. Otherwise, we enjoyed the privacy and welcoming feeling around the property.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Elizabeth's little casita. It is nestled inside a spacious walled courtyard for feelings of privacy and safety. The plants and water features lend a serene ambiance to the authenticity of the place. This was first time that I had traveled anywhere since Covid and I was a little nervous about safety protocols. Immediately, I felt at ease when I saw how clean everything was. Now, I am a picky person so for me to say this is a big deal! She had even put fresh water in the hot tub. I never go in a public hot tub, but I enjoyed a warm soak under the stars every single night. The place is stocked with an impressive selection of amenities and there are all the tools you need to prepare meals in the mini kitchen or to barbeque . Elizabeth is a gracious host and not overbearing in the least. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to any of my friends.
