Access to the Best Beach on the Oregon Coast

Located on Yaquina John Point, Beachside Suites is central to all major attractions. Just south of the property are Governor Patterson state park, Cape Perpetua, Heceta Head light house, and Sea Lion Caves. Just north are Seal Rock, Oregon Coast Aquarium and Newport light houses. Guests enjoy access to seven miles of smooth, sandy beach. Walks are peaceful, since the beach is semi-private. Many rare birds can be seen on the beach. Whales can be seen just off shore, migrating north or south. Harbor seals swim in the water near the beach. North of the property is the Alsea river, which offers fishing and hiking opportunities. There are restaurants, grocery stores, and numerous shops, just one mile away. There is a golf course one mile southeast. A convenient visitors center is located one mile north, where you will find hundreds of brochures with helpful vacation ideas. Returning guests comment on the small-town atmosphere as a major reason for their return.
Unit has a full kitchen, with oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer combo, and cupboards and drawers that are stocked with items needed during stay.

Jeff provided great communication for a first time VRBO'r. This best attribute of this property is it's affordability in the expensive coastal rental community. The next best attribute is it's central location to exploring other beaches and small towns. The bed was comfortable and the shower had decent water temperature and power.On the negative side- the property is very close to Highway 101; the described trail to the beautiful beach was not updated to recognize the stairs were destroyed and climbing down rocks was a challenge; the suite was very smelly for most of the duration of my stay due to previous clients cooking choices; some dishes in cabinets were dirty and required rewashing; no place to sit outside and enjoy morning coffee.

It was good to know that the guests enjoyed there stay overall. The suite was comfortable, but the review mentioned a food odor from prior guests. It would have been better if something were said during stay so a solution could be found. Due to beach erosion, the bottom portion of stairs can't be rebuilt. This is discussed with guests. It is now recommended that only sure footed guests use the access. Governor Patterson State Park is now recommended for guests with issues walking. The park is just south of the property. This will be the situation unless a solution is found regarding the rising water level.

Great centrally located stay.

Enjoyed the stay, quiet location, 100 yds walk from beach access point. Nice amenities and all the tools you need to make breakfast and lunch etc.

This was a great budget property. The manager was great to work with and the beach near the property was beautiful, just a short walk away.

The unit was cozy and welcoming. The property manager was kind and considerate. He even cared enough to help this internet illiterate old lady through the process of on line registration and he was extremely kind and communicated beautifully!The only thing I would have liked more would be direct beach access. But Governor Patterson Sate park was close and the Hilltop diner was great and both were walkable.

It was really wonderful, it was close to everything we wanted to do, the mattress was amazing, it was nice and quiet despite being close to busy streets. I loved how the blinds were basically blackout so I could take an afternoon nap if I wanted! Wifi was fast. The beach was pretty. It was really relaxing!

Great Little Place

The Alsea cottage was just what we wanted. It is an easy walk from a wonderful beach and off the usual tourist track. The cottage was simple, clean and comfortable. Management was very helpful when we had questions. The entertainment package on the TV was the best!

Nice quiet place to stay that’s very affordable. I had one issue that arose when I arrived. I contacted the owner and his people where there in 10 minutes. Super nice guy. Can’t beat the price and area!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, plenty of room to hang up clothes, and large bathroom. We could park right in front of our place. Walking to the beach was easy. They do need to get a new couch, however, and the road noise made it difficult to open windows.

Highly recommend!We had a wonderful stay. The host was very attentive and responded to all of our questions promptly. The rental was clean and well-stocked with everything we could possibly need.This was the perfect place for my husband and me while we were in town attending a wedding. It is on the smaller side, so it's not the kind of rental where you'd spend the entire day relaxing indoors—but with the beach at the end of the street and so much to see and do, why would you want to? It was exactly what we needed: a comfortable place to get a great night's sleep (the bed was wonderful) and a cozy space to enjoy our meals.The value for the price was outstanding—. We never missed having air conditioning. Simply opening the windows kept the space comfortable, and we actually used the little heater for a while one evening.If you plan to spend a lot of time inside or are sensitive to noise, you may want to consider renting an upstairs unit, as you can hear occupants walking in the unit above.Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.Looking for something to do visit Hilltop Cafe and Bistro they have the best Crab Omelet and Ocean Beaches Glassblowing watch the artist Amanda make amazing creations or book your own glass blowing experience.

Rental had everything we needed and was very clean. The couch should be replaced, it’s so worn out that it is extremely uncomfortable. A fan or AC unit in the bedroom would be a great addition since the street noise is extremely loud, so we had to keep the window closed to be able to sleep.Waldport is a great place for long walks at the beach, fishing and close to other great places like Newport and many beautiful beach parks.

Good times

The rental was nice and clean. The size was what I expected. We had a great time. The bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it home. From the pics i assumed the beach was right there but instead it was a short walk down the road. Not what I expected, but not too far, so it was still good. Overall we had a great time and would go again.

Very nice host. Clean. Furniture could’ve been newer and in better condition. Towell racks in the kitchen would’ve been appreciated and a dishwasher. had trouble getting the shower sprayer to line up in my direction. Furnaces were excellent to keep the place warm quickly. Was disturbed by footsteps in apartment above early in the morning. kitchen appliances were excellent and the kitchen was very efficient to make meals. Lighting was excellent. Parking was right in front of the door. Nights were quiet for sleeping. Bedding blankets were warm. Nice housekeeper. Good price.

A Shore Great Place to Stay

Oh, buoy! What a beachin' stay we had at this cozy coastal crib! The apartment was as snug as a hermit crab's shell, and we felt right at home in its comfy confines. Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the shores, making it a breeze to sunbathe like a happy seal.( Which we saw plenty of seals around.) The sunsets? Absolutely shell-tacular! Our host was great, always ready to ride the wave of our requests. To sum it up, this fantastic place was the perfect place for us to stay and will be for you too! We have no clamplaints. Five star(fish) all the way!"😊 We will be back if this review does not convince you to book it out first.
