Great property

This is a great property, very well equipped kitchen, fully stocked bathrooms, all the rooms had many extra blankets. The house was vey well decorated, appealing and inviting.

Galena Getaway

The property had everything we were looking for - space to relax and rest and an equipped kitchen that we could cook and enjoy each other's company. Drive around the Territory was beautiful and we were glad to have access to the Owner's Club. Thank you for a great getaway!

Wonderful girls trip!

There were 7 of us that ended up going on our girls trip! This property was more than big enough to accommodate all of us! The place is secluded and quiet and the views are amazing! The host Lauri had everything we needed and we took advantage of the pool at the owners club too! Great trip! Would def stay again!

Wonderful Galena Home

Our family had a wonderful stay in the Galena Territory. The home is beautiful and located in a peaceful location of the territory. Beautiful view from the family room. The kitchen is well stocked for making meals at home. Lauri's communication throughout the stay was top notch. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home with plenty of space!

We loved staying at this property! 3 couples stayed comfortably with room for more guests. Located close to downtown Galena, but far away enough to feel away from it all! It was perfect for relaxing and some downtime when we weren't shopping or visiting the wineries! Lauri was so helpful and responsive! We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely stay again!

Galena friends weekend

House was nicely layed out. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The screened in porch was awesome... we could enjoy our breakfast on the porch without being annoyed by bugs. Great views even watched wild turkeys roaming.

Family Reunion

We hosted a family reunion of about 50 people of all ages. The weather was beautiful and the property allowed us to spend the day outside enjoying many activities in several different areas. The evening campfire ended an awesome weekend celebration.

GREAT PLACE!

Girls Weekend in Galena was WONDERFUL! This place is AWESOME! Worked perfect for us (7 gals). Short drive (10 minutes) into Galena for shopping and about 6 minutes to the amazing Owners Club. Nice workout room and GREAT outdoor pool. With the warmer temps, they extended their open season, so we enjoyed it Saturday evening and Sunday morning before heading home. Nice RELAXING weekend! Several of the gals want to rent it again with their individual families now. Owner has been WONDERFUL to work with also. Welcome Bag was a SWEET touch also. We all would highly recommend it. Thanks for everything! :)

Enjoyed our stay

We had a great few days in Galena. Our family of 6 (2 parents and 4 “adultish” children) wanted some family time to relax and spend time together. Lauri was very responsive to all my texts. I had lots of questions about the house since I wanted to make sure everything ran smoothly once we were there. We cooked meals there every morning and night and I wanted to make sure the kitchen was set up well for us to cook. She did recommend I bring pans for my crab legs so I appreciated the heads up! I didn’t want to have to run to the grocery store, so also appreciated the salt, pepper and coffee filters we forgot! (And truly, we have stayed in other VRBO’s where toilet paper rolls are empty, so we appreciated that too!) I can only imagine how nice the house would be during the summer when you could take advantage of the outside spaces. As it was very cold when we were there we could not use those spaces. The area looks like it would be beautiful in summer and fall. Since our goal was to be together, we also didn’t take advantage of the downstairs family room, other than to sleep. My teens were not eager to share beds so we were bummed we forgot an air mattress... the 2 boys did have to share the sofa sleeper in the lower lever and they let the girls have the other rooms. There were only two things which would have made our trip perfect: Since there were 6 of us, and my boys are both over 6’2”, we would have loved one or more comfy seat in the family room. When we sat and chatted or played games in the evening the couch only comfortably sat 4 or 5 at the most. One of us had to use the less comfortable dining room chair. I did take off one point for cleanliness, as another reviewer noted, the couch is stained. Also, there was no place for us to do a puzzle! We ended up bringing in the patio table to use as there was no other surface other than the dining table. I would definitely go back but would do so in the warmer months to take advantage of the outdoor space and porch. After skiing all day at chestnut mountain my teens and early 20’s adults wanted to relax and hang out together and the couch situation was not the greatest for all of us to do that. Maybe we’re just too big ;) All in all we enjoyed our stay and accomplished our goal of family time over the new year, which is what we wanted.
