Welcome to our family’s beloved seaside home, a classic 1920s gem nestled in the heart of Scituate’s historic Cedar Point. Just steps from the Scituate Lighthouse, Lighthouse Beach and Sandhills Beach, this home offers the perfect blend of New England charm and coastal relaxation.
Walk, bike or drive one mile to beautiful Scituate Harbor with its fantastic shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants.

Inside, you’ll be greeted by an enormous, light-filled living room—a wonderful gathering space for families or a cozy retreat for couples. Stream your favorite shows or movies on the HDTV with Roku, or simply enjoy quiet moments together after a day by the water.

The cottage features two inviting queen bedrooms, each with new Nectar memory foam mattresses for a peaceful night’s sleep, plus a twin bed, comfortably accommodating up to five guests. The updated kitchen is fully equipped for preparing anything from morning pancakes to sunset dinners, and the home includes two modern bathrooms, each with a shower (no tubs).

Step outside and take in the ocean air from either of the two spacious decks—enjoy your morning coffee as the harbor wakes up or sip afternoon cocktails while watching the sunset over the water. With direct water access across the street and a west-facing view, this home offers some of the best sunsets in Scituate.

A note for our guests:

This cottage has been in our family for over 50 years, and while it’s been lovingly maintained and updated, it proudly retains its original character. You’ll find gorgeous fir floors, a few creaks, quirks, and bumps, and a genuine sense of history that new homes simply can’t replicate. No parties or events – this is a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood.
NO smoking or vaping anywhere on the property.
No pets, please – we love them, but we keep the home allergen-free for all guests.
Please treat our home with care and respect, as you would your own.
Quiet hours: 9 PM – 8 AM to preserve the peaceful charm of The Point.
Please do not move furniture or interior décor items.
Parking available for up to 2 vehicles.


Guest Access & Notes

Guests have full access to the entire home, including both front and rear decks and the direct water access across the street from the property.


The cottage is self check-in via lockbox — detailed instructions will be provided before arrival.

While the home has been thoughtfully updated for modern comfort, it’s also a historic property over 100 years old. The original fir floors have a few creaks and character marks that reflect its history. If you’re looking for sleek, new construction, this may not be the right fit — but if you appreciate authentic coastal charm, you’ll feel right at home.



Please also note:

Both bathrooms have showers only (no tubs).
The decks are perfect for relaxing but we ask that children be supervised at all times outdoors.
The refrigerator water line is not connected.
The property is west-facing, offering some of the best sunsets on the harbor — bring your camera!
