ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
We strive to provide 5 beach chairs, a cooler and an umbrella and try to replenish the supply when needed. We cannot guarantee the type and amount of beach equipment that will be there when you arrive as these items get broken, misplaced, left in rental cars or loaned to other visitors. While I cannot absolutely guarantee it, an adequate supply is usually available. I recommend you check before renting equipment.

TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE: Please note our firm cancellation policy. We strongly recommend trip insurance. Please, don't be that person who wishes they had bought insurance. There are many options for travel insurance and you need to read the finer details carefully. It is also available here through VRBO.

Maximum occupancy is 5 and is monitored, Sofa sleeping not allowed. An exception can be made for toddlers and infants in portable cribs.

Notes: The building does not have an elevator.
The unit does not have a landline phone

The second bedroom has a versatile bedding plan - one queen and one twin- an ideal arrangement for children of different ages, 2 adult couples traveling together or a nanny or Grandma! This bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower/tub combination and access to the second lanai and ROKU TV.

Exceptional property close to the ocean and several great restaurants. Very comfortable and the AC made the stay even more appealing. Many condos on Kauai rely on the trade winds with no AC, but not this one! Deb, our host, was a great resource to make our stay even more wonderful. We will be back and look forward to another memorable stay! Five stars!

Amazing place to stay!! The views from the lanai were the best, and the rainbows just wow! So close to poipu and Brennekes beach! The turtles and monk seals were so great to see. Also the location is so close to many restaurants that were all good! The place was immaculate and Deb was great! Her communication was great and very easy to ask questions and responded quickly ! Thank you for sharing your place with our family. Best vacation ever!

Great Location!

This condo was perfect for our family of 4 and had a great location walking distance to Poipu beach with many restaurants and shops in the area. It is a very quite complex and was a good home base as we explored the island. Deborah communicated very well to ensure we had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful stay The condo was really close to Poipu Beach. We were able to walk down to the beach from the condo. It was just perfect. Everything was clean. It was very roomy and had all the amenities for playing at the beach and was conveniently located to restaurants and shops in Poipu. Our host was amazing. She communicated with us upon arrival and checked in with us to make sure everything was going good.

Amazing view & amazing host! Deb was great at communicating and has everything you’d need in the condo. It was so great to not have to worry about packing shampoo or body wash and to have plenty of toilet paper and towels. She had everything labeled and available should you need it! We are a family of 5 so our kids shared the queen and 1 had their own twin bed. The condo was spacious and it was such an amazing view and location. We even enjoyed a short dip in the condo pool after returning from the beach so we could cool off. The property grounds are lovely. I wish we could go back tomorrow!!

Beautiful condo and stunning sunset view ! We feel at home.

This condo is beautiful and walking distance to a very nice kid friendly Poipu Beach ! We enjoyed so much and we feel at home while staying there. Everything we need is provided by owner Deb. Have bath towels, boogie boards, beach umbrella, beach chairs, coffee, cooking oil, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, body soap,shampoo, and many more! The owner is very nice and have a very good communication. The condo is very clean ! I can't find a spot that i need to clean when we arrived. The beds are very comfortable and have a white clean beddings. The furnitures are also very nice. We enjoyed seating in the sofa and also the outdoor furnitures while watching sunset. We will definitely stay there again next time we visit Kauai ! Thank you Deb for letting us enjoy your condo !

Wonderful Stay

Our stay in this condo was great. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Great views from the lani for whale watching and the sunset. The owner was exceptional in her communication with us. Will stay here again!

Beautiful Location in Paradise

Everything about our stay here was perfect: it has every amenity you could ever need (from beach gear, to comfy beds, to kitchen utensils, to AC!); it's conveniently located by all the hot spots on the south side of the island; and communication from the owner was amazing throughout. Best of all, the view from the balcony was unmatched! I wish we could sip coffee or mai tai's on it forever. We hope to return and cannot say enough good things about Deb and her home!

Great Stay in Paradise

Great stay at this property. Wonderful location. More sun on the South shore. Can walk to Poipu Beach to see turtles and occasional seal. Was wonderful watching the sunrise from the balcony every morning. Owners are great and excellent with communication. Highly recommend this property.

Home away from home!

Wonderful place!

Our family of 5 stayed here on our Kauai vacation last week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house was equipped with AC, all amenities including a washer and dryer that really came in handy after all those excursions. Owner was great to talk to especially during our hectic airport adventures. Location was superb with beautiful vistas from the lanai and an easy walk to the ocean. Will definitely return.

Amazing View

We arrived at sunset. Everyone’s mouth dropped at the amazing view. From the beginning Deb was very communicative. The place was updated and nicely furnished with very comfortable beds, as well as very organised. The place was a short walk to the beach where we saw monk seals, sea turtles, and dolphins. We will definitely rebook again, thank you for the amazing experience!

A little bit of paradise

Best of all condos we’ve rented in Poipu: quiet, lanai angled so sun doesn’t hit until mid afternoon (then shades are great), coffee on lanai at daybreak with the sound of the surf. Deb has anticipated every need. It has everything one could want, including a welcome bottle of wine. We’ll be back!

Yearly girl vacation

Our stay was amazing! The view was truly amazing and perfect for watching the sunsets. The home was well stocked with all the basics. Few minute walk and you are at the beach or the pool. Seeing the turtles after dark on the public beach was a memory that will be remembered forever. Everything was perfect. The stairs kept us in shape. 😀

Slice of Paradise!

Beautiful condo, great views, and with the third floor access at the rear of this complex, it is completely private. We loved gazing out at the ocean from the main living/dining/kitchen areas, as well as the master bedroom. We also loved that it is just a short walk to Poipu Beach and so much to do in the surrounding area. Deborah is a fantastic hostess, sending all the info we needed well in advance. The condo is well furnished. Very comfortable bed, and spacious layout.

Heaven on Earth in Kauai!

We had the trip of a lifetime in Kauai at Deborah’s magical villa! The pictures don’t do it justice. The location is very private yet is walkable to all the beaches, hot spots to eat, snorkeling, etc. Deborah was very responsive before and during the trip to answer questions and point is in the right direction. The space was perfect for our family of 4. Kitchen was well stocked, and washer / dryer worked great. We would come back here in a heartbeat! Thank you Deborah for being such a wonderful hostess!

Great Condo and a Wonderful Property Owner

Deb did a great job reaching out and communicating with us every step of the way. She made sure we made it in and notified us of a possible water outage during our stay. The condo was as described and in a wonderful location. The unit was on the top floor with great views of the water and mountains in the distance. The condo was clean and in great shape. The amenities in the condo were perfect for my family. I would recommend staying at in this unit.

Gorgeous, modern condo with an OUTSTANDING view!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful condo. The view is phenomenal. We've stayed in several condos on Kauai and in Koloa specifically, and this one had the best view by far. It includes a VERY wide expanse of ocean, as well as the surrounding mountains. Gorgeous! The condo itself is in pristine condition. The open architecture is wonderful, with lovely high ceilings. The beds are very comfortable with high-quality linens. The hosts made us feel very welcome. We couldn't have asked for more!

Very nice condo with a great view

The condo itself is very well outfitted and the property as a whole is well maintained. The view from the main lanai is great and pretty unique in that you can see the ocean and the highest point on Kauai all at the same time. The kitchen and large dining table allowed us to host multiple dinners with another family that was staying at a different (and not as nice) Nihi Kai condo. The AC and ceiling fans worked well and were very much appreciated. Poipu Beach was easily accessible and featured turtles resting on the beach every morning we went down there. This beach also had a nice protected area for our young kids to play in the water. Deb was a fantastic and very responsive host!

After many trips to Hawaii since the 80's We made the vacation home dream a reality in 1998. All it took were the views from lanai and we were sold.
We currently live in Seattle with our 3 dachshund children. Living a relatively short distance away means that we can make many trips there for both vacationing and being a hands-on owner. We want our guests to have the same experience we wanted in our many years of renting. Our (human) children were only 10 and 12 when we purchased and they've enjoyed many long stays at Nihi Kai over the years - testament to the fact that Kauai is for children too.

We prefer to stay in the more mature 'Hawaiian feel' properties with large units, mature and lush landscaping and of the Hawaiian Plantation style architecture. Nihi Kai Villas fit this description. The views and the location, ocean view heated pool, and walking distance to beaches and amenities made Nihi Kai Villas 833 our top choice.
