If I could give higher stars for the communication portion I surely would. The hosts of this property were great and very knowledgeable of the area. This was for my son as he visited for work and needed a place to stay for a few days. Everything was as described and Katie was great to work with. We will definitely rent here again.

This is a lovely unit! Well decorated, stocked with everything you might need. The bed was very comfortable! it is located in a great quiet residential neighborhood, located a very short walk to the lake/park. We had dinner at the Bread and Pickle in the park, and enjoyed the live music at the bandstand. Also a short walk is the historic streetcar, both my 13 year old and I enjoyed the short ride and history talk by the enthusiastic volunteers. The next day we went to the Minneapolis Institute of Art, and lunch in a cafe. After, the Rose Garden was a lovely walk!

Katie and Kurt, the hosts, were incredably helpful, knowledgable and always available. The unit is comfortable, clean, quiet, and well equipped. The area is ideal, being a block from Lake Harriet with all its amenities:trails for hiking and biking, boating, swimming, public gardens, and concession stand with good food and drink options. It is within walking distance of several excellent restaurants and interesting shops. It will definitely be my first choice for my next Mpls visit!

Stayed here for just under a week with family. Great location, super classy neighborhood and close to some small but good shops (great iced cream). We spent most of our time out sight-seeing and needed a place to crash at night and still be within walking distance to parks, running paths, biking, lake-front, old railway line, etc. Rental car parking on the street was fine. We especially appreciated a cozy, clean spot, with walk-out lower floor-plan (nice windows & ventilation). Small kitchen, laundry space and cute bathroom which worked out great, since we could keep food on site for snacks and light meals.Nice stacking ASKO washer/dryer made traveling light very convenient, no need to pack extra clothes. Laundry detergent and such was provided. Thanks.Price was great for what the site offers. We booked at the last minute and were glad to have found this one. Check in and out was seamless. Great communication. Thanks! We would stay again!

Host profile image
We are experienced home renovators and rental property managers and added short-term rental to our portfolio in 2014. We absolutely love hosting and meeting guests (but always leave it up to them to engage or stay to themselves). We have traveled extensively and love meeting people from all over the world--this venture has opened up the opportunity to do so right here at home when we are not traveling. We've had the pleasure of hosting thousands of fascinating guests over the years and look forward to many more years as we continue our great adventure.

Why they chose this property

Linden Hills offers a broad array of opportunities. Peaceful and quiet setting, yet just on the edge of countless activities for all seasons. The lake, of course, offers all-season activities, celebrations, and festivals. Rent bikes, sailboards, kayaks, canoes, paddleboats. Venture to downtown Linden Hills to enjoy the many restaurants--from casual to fine dining, most featuring outdoor seating during seasonally appropriate weather. Visit Sebastian Joe's family-owned ice cream and coffee shop, Jones Coffee, Great Harvest Bakery, several unique boutiques, Wild Rumpus bookstore--our kids, and now our grandkids, have spent countless hours there--it is described as "wonderland of imagination" and is a must see!

What makes this property unique

The setting is magical, being just 800 feet from Lake Harriet, as described above. Serene setting in the midst of an active urban area. Stroll through the serene Roberts Bird Sanctuary, or around the lake (3 miles). Stop for an ice cream on the way back, or walk up to Linden Hills for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snacks, or all of the above!
