Located just a 20-minute walk, less than a 10-minute bike ride, or a quick 5-minute car ride to the beach, this cottage offers convenience and accessibility to the sandy shores. With 2 beach cruiser bikes available for your use, you can easily explore the area and enjoy the coastal breeze. This home is located three blocks from the 9th street walkover to the beach and six blocks from Middleton bridge to the beach.

The cottage features a large, fully dog-fenced backyard with a fire pit and horseshoe pits, providing a great space for outdoor gatherings and activities. Inside, you'll find modern amenities such as a washer/dryer, and a well-equipped kitchen.

Fantastic property

Fantastic property on a quiet street in a really good area. We had trouble with the thermostat the first night, but the rental agency was very helpful and support was great. Would absolutely stay here again-our teens, my husband, and myself absolutely loved the place! Yard and back porch are fantastic!!! Games, wagon, and bikes in garage are such enjoyable, fantastic touches!!

Summer at the beach

We had a great stay at Salty Escape! The house was spacious and looked just like the pictures (new and clean). The location was great and we could walk with our three kids to the playground and splash pad as well as the beach. (Stores and restaurants also within walking distance). The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils and dishes so it was easy to cook meals at home and it was nice not to have to do the dishes after each meal (we were 5 people). We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again if on Oak Island.

Beautiful Beach Home

We had a wonderful time at Salty Escape. The home is new and very close to the beach. Every morning we could walk to the beach or ride the bikes in the garage. The listing is deceptive in the presentation of the amenities. The golf cart is an additional cost, and we weee not notified of this until our arrival. It would have been nice know about the additional cost upon booking or before our arrival. Other than that, the home was beautiful and one of the best rentals we’ve had through Vacasa.
