We have never used VRBO for a vacation rental but with two dogs, it seemed like the way to go. Unfortunately many of the "pet friendly" listings I explored also contained an extensive list of rules/caveats making it an anxiety inducing situation where I was scared to leave a single dog hair behind.I communicated with Emily prior to booking and she made me feel completely at ease about bringing our two dogs along on this trip. She was responsive at every point and even went so far as to have her neighbor bring us a fan while we waited for the air conditioning to cool everything off upon our arrival. (Don't worry about the air conditioning as it was AMAZING!)The house was clean and offered up ample space for my family (2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 dogs) and everything we needed was available and properly working. We ended up meeting two of the neighbors and they were absolutely lovely as well. The property is right on the river and very quiet. The only (VERY minor) issue that we had was that the yard was a little overgrown which made cleaning up after the dogs a little more challenging. However Emily was also very honest and upfront about the updating and work that they were in the process of completing on the exterior of the house.Overall, I would highly recommend this rental to my friends and family and we are considering coming back during a different season.
