This peaceful mountain home in Tijeras offers beatiful views, a cozy fireplace, garage parking and reliable WiFi, making it well suited for relaxation, remote work or outdoor adventure. Located just minutes from I-40, the home provides easy access to Albuquerque while offering the quiet and privacy of a mountain setting.
Guests enjoys easy access to hiking trails, and ski resort area, with Madrid about 45 minutes away and Santa Fe approximately 1 1/2 hours away. We are happy to accommodate setup requests when possible, please let us know in advance.
This is a true mountain home, accessed by a fully paved and winding road. In the winter months, when snow or ice is in the forecast, all wheel drive or four-wheel drive is recommended for a more comfortable and confident drive. The main road is plowed regularly; however, the driveway is maintained by the property owner and is not plowed by the host.
Mountain weather can occasionally be unpredictable, and brief power interruptions may occur. The home is equipped with a backup generator that starts automatically within 10-15 seconds, providing heat, water and essential power.
Wildlife is part of the mountain experience, and guests may see deer, or bears in the area. Please remember to secure trash and avoid leaving food outside.

Winter travel in the mountains can vary depending on weather conditions. Guests are encouraged to check forecasts, plan ahead and ensure their vehicle is appropriate for seasonal conditions.

The private balcony off the main bedroom has an amazing mountain view. You feel like you’re floating above the trees. Perfect for coffee at sunrise or wine under the stars.
The big deck has a comfy sofa and the same beautiful view, Inside, the cozy living room has big windows and a fireplace. Sit on the couch and enjoy the mountain view all day long!!
