This place is outstanding. It was our family’s second stay in three years. You could not find a nicer house for a family or a group of friends. Thanks Julie for everything.
The home was very well appointed and comfortable. Instructions were clear and concise and the host was very responsive to any questions. The location is great. Walk to the river, at least four brewpubs and a boatload of eateries from food trucks to very nice sit down restaurants, as well as a full size grocery store. We definitely would stay here again.
The property is in a great location, you can walk to many restaurants, breweries and coffee shops. It is also convenient to the river walking trail. With a car, it’s only a short drive to many hiking trails and snow parks. The house was very clean and well stocked. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs, so the layout may not work for everyone. We would definitely stay again if we make it back to Bend.

Lovely home in a great location
We stayed three nights at Albany Bungalow with our daughter and son-in-law. The home was very attractive with tasteful and updated decor. It felt comfortable and homey. Everything looked recently done. Very nice kitchen and baths. Living room had a nice fireplace, although we didn't use it in August. There is a nice patio on the side of the house. We really liked that each bedroom had its own bath. The location was great, being within walking distance of Columbia Park and the river trail, which we really enjoyed. A short drive to downtown and the Mill District (or you could bike to the Mill District) and a Safeway nearby. We loved Bend and hope to return to Albany Bungalow.
Beautiful, spacious property. Easy walking distance to a few nice dining spots and easy drive or bike to Downtown. And if you’re going to an event ar Hayden Homes Amphitheater, super easy walk.
Loved it. Coming back for sure!
Dear Julie, you have a fantastic home. My wife and her son and daughter-in-law, and their two teen girls had a great time. Your home had everything we needed plus more. Thanks we all had a great time. Tim & Debbie
Great accommodations. Kitchen well equipped. Comfortable family and dining areas. Large buck visited one morning on the front porch. Bars and smoothie place in walking distance. Would definitely stay there again.
We visit Bend often because our son and daughter-in-law live there and we have stayed in many great rentals, but this was our all-around favorite. My husband and I stayed in the king-sized bed main floor bedroom and my daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters ages one and three stayed upstairs in the two bedrooms and loft area. The house is as nice or nicer than it looks in the pictures and lives larger than it looks. The kitchen is supplied with everything that a cook needs including more different spices than we have at home. The yard is pristine. You can't go wrong renting here.
This house is one of the best, if not the very best, rental house we have ever enjoyed on a vacation trip. The house itself is beautiful and very thoughtfully appointed and supplied (kitchen gear, spices and condiments, information on the local scene and places to enjoy, etc. etc. the owner seems to have thought of everything!) and the neighborhood is quiet, interesting and very close to Bend's central attractions such as the Deschutes River and old downtown. The house design (3 bedroom, 3 full baths) creates three nicely separate and spacious areas for family members or two or three couples to enjoy privacy while the spacious kitchen, dining and living rooms provide plenty of shared space to bring everyone together. We had zero disappointments, completely enjoyed our stay, and recommend this house without reservation. We will likely go again when we want to visit the Bend area. Five stars!
Very nice property conveniently located near attractions in town. Quiet neighborhood. Kitchen has everything one could need. Plenty big for our group of six.
Great house and location for three generation family vacation
The house worked very well for our family, ages 3 to 63. It was clean and the lay-out was convenient. We enjoyed the front porch in the morning and the fenced yard in the afternoon. There was a well-equipped kitchen and a thoughtful supply of pantry items, necessities and incidentals. Easy walk to the Old Mill District, the playground, floating the river, and plenty of food options within walking distance.
Clean, well appointed and great location. Excellent owner communication. The very best VRBO we have stayed at. We will most definitely return. It's a 5+!
The home was wonderful. Great outside spaces and lots of privacy with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen was easy to work in and remain part of the activities. I would definitely recommend this property to others.
It was an awesome time for our family. We were coming to Bend for a concert and decided that we would turn it into a mini vacation! This house is so beautifully appointed and was spotlessly clean! We have twin granddaughters age 2, and the proximity to a great park and the river pathways were ideal. But what was appreciated the most were the comfort and cleanliness of this house, the bathroom per bedroom ratio and for us, a beautifully landscaped and maintained yard with a great outdoor gathering area. We did lots of walking, visiting several breweries and walked to the Old Mill for shopping and ti the Les Schwab amphitheater for a beautiful evening listening to music. We were very comfortable, extremely content and lacked for nothing to prepare our meals! Only thing that could be improved at all would be the WiFi. It was a hard place to leave!
The property was outstanding, beautiful, and clean. It was in walking distance of many great restaurants and had the added benefit of a garage so no need for on street parking. The check in process and house access was very easy which was great because we arrived in town after midnight. Bedrooms were comfortable and bath amenities were great as well. The hammock was used for afternoon naps everyday! Thanks Julie for having us!
The house is just lovely with much attention to fine details for making a stay pleasant. It is large and roomy with many places for group get together as well as private spots to retreat to for alone time. The owner was very warm, welcoming, and helpful when needed. It was within easy walking distance to downtown for restaurants and shopping, Old Mill District for shopping and river play, and Galvastan area for breweries.
We loved our stay at the Albany Bungalow. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient to everything. The house itself was beautiful and well appointed. The set up of the bedrooms, two upstairs and one downstairs was perfect for our group with an infant. The family room was spacious and allowed comfortable seating for all. We will definitely keep this house on the top of our list for the next visit to Bend.

Perfect
Stayed in Bend a few times now but never in such a Central location. Bike directly over to the trails or walk 5 minutes and you're in the hear of town.
Such a well appointed home. Owners really have thought of everything. Hopeful this place is available again next year. Thank you Julie.

Fantastic house-large-roomy-comfortable and close to everything ...
We were looking for a house that could accommodate 6 adults to ride the Tour de Chutes bike ride, no kids this trip!. I can not begin to tell you how outstanding this house is. It has three bedrooms each with their own bathrooms which was a plus for the ladies. The house looks recently updated with hardwood floors throughout as well as paint inside and out. The master has a whirlpool bath tub!, all the beds were confortable, the master bedroom (king bed) and second bedroom (queen) are upstairs, the third (queen) is downstairs, all have plenty of room , the kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens I had ever seen in a rental, I always use VRBO when traveling to Bend and this kitchen did not lack anything that we needed, there were plenty of utensils, coffee cups , plates , etc , even the cutlery were sharp.. ...oh and the house was immaculate when we arrived. There is plenty of parking , there is a two car garage in back off the alley, it has a nice concrete pad driveway, it was a little tight fit for my Ford F150 truck but it was manageable, on street parking is available. The yard is manicured and provided a nice shady area to relax in. The house is within walking distance to downtown, a little over a mile as is the Old Mill District. Good Life Brewing is right around the corner. There are also two bikes available to use, but we walked almost everywhere. The neighborhood is really quite at night, we slept with our windows open and had no noise whatsoever. Only negatives, that are very minor : It would be nice to have ceiling fans in the bedrooms, there is one in the living room, the house has AC (Nest) but as you know with a 2 story house, downstairs is cold while upstairs is warm, we were there when the temps where 97/98, there was a small portable fan in the rooms but didn't move enough air around, even when the windows were open at night , with no breeze can be a little stuffy. Also, the wi-fi cut out a lot with six people, again not a huge deal , but if you are there with kids who are always on their media devices may pose a problem. Also, there were only three rolls of TP in the house, for six adults ..I'm sure there were more locked away somewhere but I felt it wasn't a big deal enough to bother the owner about just ran out and got some more, overall we were extremely pleased with this house, if we ever need a large house again this will be our top pick!!

About the host
Hosted by Julie
We are hard working professionals and outdoor enthusiasts. After visiting Bend for over 10 years, we finally achieved our dream of owning a house in Bend. We love mountain biking, river sports, and the restaurants and brewpubs in town.
Why they chose this property
A beautiful home and a great, walkable location. Central to downtown, Westside locals' favorites, and the Old Mill/Amphitheater.
What makes this property unique
1 block to river with a neighborhood river access. Easy to get up to the mountain or downtown - and everything in between.
