We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect, the house was clean, well stocked with everything we needed and had plenty of space for all of us to gather. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay here. The place is spacious and it is an excellent location. It is close to the beach and located centrally to all the island amenities. We made great use of the bicycles and the kayaks as well.

We loved the Hatchling House! It was a great location and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the family for meals and fun evenings and were as for the three golf carts.

Great family beach house!

We had a lovely long weekend stay at this great house. Beautifully decorated, very nice layout, perfect for our family. Great location too. We would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved the hatchlings house! The house is beautifully decorated and has such a fun history as being one of the original houses on the island. We were also impressed with the cleanliness of the property. Host was super communicative and house is very well stocked and organized.

Great Family Week

The home was spacious, clean, in a great location and truly exceeded our expectations for our vacation! The owners were very easy to get in contact with and extremely helpful when we had questions. Perfect for large family

Wonderful house with plenary of room for family with kids. Very clean and easy check in and check out. Great kitchen and open living room and bedrooms are tucked away and is quiet even when when people are in living room. Loved our stay!!

Perfect family getaway

We loved our family getaway at Hatchling House. Location was ideal as we were close to the beach, market and BHI club. House was bright and airy, and we loved the open family room/kitchen and large porch. Very comfortable and clean house with great communication from owners.

Wonderful trip with a gorgeous house

A long needed vacation in a gorgeous beach house is what my mates and I needed and it’s what we got! Excellent communication and a full set of all the items one could need to enjoy your time at the beach.

Property was good and what we needed for our two families. It was awesome to have the 3 golf carts! The kitchen was very well stocked and organized however the appliances were old. The owner was very communicative however didn’t respond when I informed them that the ice maker and water dispenser were not working on the fridge and freezer. There was also a cracked shelf in the fridge so we avoided that shelf. The fridge definitely needs to be replaced but the house was good other than that and we had a really good time!

In the case of the refrigerator issues, we actually were trying to get that resolved. As you know, during this time in the initial couple days of your stay, we also had to make additional requests to you to make your final payment which was 30 days overdue and you had already checked-in. We have not gotten complaints about the kitchen appliances, all of which are within five years of age, but we will assess them further during our end of year deep clean. The shelf replacement is on order.

Delightful Stay in BHI

We just spent a week at the Hatchling House and my only regret is that we didn’t book another week. The home, one of the first built on the island, is perfect for families with kids and is a one minute cart ride to South Beach and very short trips to East Beach, the Marina, and the market. We hope to stay there again soon.

Beautifully decorated, Plenty of room for family and friends in this historic home

Baldhead Island is the best beach in North Carolina for nature lovers! We enjoyed the many bicycles for exploring the island. A very short Walk to the beach. The great room kitchen dining room combo is Perfect for cooking family meals, and hanging out with everyone.

Wonderful House

The house is very clean and well stocked. The decor was beautiful and the house had so much natural light. It was a perfect beach house feel. The property owners were easily accessible and very helpful. I would rent this house again and again.

This was one of our favorite houses that we have stayed in. Immaculate inside

Bright and Cherry house with a well stocked kitchen and plenty of room for the entire family. Short walk to the beach. Both the bikes and golf carts were in excellent shape. Can’t wait to return in the near future and we hope this wonderful house will be available at that time.
