This is a zen‑inspired, pet‑friendly 4BR/2BA home on a peaceful stretch of the Colorado River, just 2 miles from downtown Bastrop and 30+ miles from Austin. Spend your days swimming, fishing, tubing or kayaking from the riverbank, then unwind in hammocks, around the fire pit, or in the sunroom watching the water and wildlife. This is a true nature sanctuary: you’ll hear birds, see stars, and feel far from the city while still being close to restaurants, shops, and two beautiful state parks.”

Pets

“We love hosting well‑behaved pets and know they’re part of the family. Up to 4 pets are welcome with a $75 per pet, per stay fee, which helps us keep the home and grounds pet‑friendly for everyone. The booking site does not collect this fee. You can leave it on the counter at check out. Please let us know the number of pets when you book. Emotional support animals are not service animals under ADA and will be charged the pet fee. See House Rules for full pet guidelines.”





Nature & expectations

“This is a riverfront nature sanctuary, not the sterile 20th floor of a high‑rise. You may occasionally see harmless dirt daubers, lizards, spider webs, wasps, leaves on outdoor furniture, or other signs of nature, especially when outdoors. We clean and wipe surfaces regularly, but nature changes daily—if you see a bit of the outdoors on a chair or hammock, just brush it off with one of our pet towels, take a breath, and enjoy this peaceful, natural setting.”

Guest access

You’ll have access to the house, driveway, and grounds. The grounds are large and may occasionally be shared with guests from our sister property, located on the same grounds, but there are multiple patios and quiet corners for everyone to enjoy or, you can rent both and be totally private if you desire.



If you need to sleep a couple more guests, you can inquire about booking The River House, or Harmony House nearby (subject to availability).”

The occupancy listed is the max occupancy this property can accommodate. If you intend to host any event, celebration or other function, you will need to disclose this to us in advance and obtain approval, including an agreement to all additional fees and terms.



House rules, stays, and insurance



Most guests tell us they wish they’d stayed one more night, so if you can, we recommend booking at least 3 nights. We offer discounts starting at 3‑night stays which are automatically calculated.



We strongly recommend travel insurance, as we adhere to our cancellation policy and typically cannot re‑book on short notice.
