About this property
Oceanfront log cabin with sweeping ocean, mountain and sunset vistas
Our iconic 60's log Cabin is a year round getaway with all the modern conveniences and a unique country cabin feel on .9 acre lot. Tide pools and rocky beach in front of the Cabin. Swimming options in front or at near by pebble and sandy beaches.
Wrap-around sundeck complete with Webber BBQ, picnic bench, market umbrella and ample seating. Comfy furniture expansive views and large fireplace. Observe our resident feathered friends including bald eagles, herons, gulls, kingfishers, woodpeckers, chickadees and juncos.
A vista of majestic snow capped mountains, glittering sunlight and long magenta sunsets awaits you. Lapping waves, resident sea lions and wind soughing through fir, oak and arbutus trees provide you with nature’s lulling symphony.
A cozy haven to enjoy winter storms, just over an hour from Mount Washington, the Cabin’s living area includes vaulted ceiling, glowing wood beams, swivel mounted flat screen HD T.V. antique brick fireplace with thermostat controlled gas insert.
The Cabin delivers an authentic ambiance along with all the modern conveniences including three bedrooms (queen, queen and bunk bed), one bathroom (tub/shower) and a large living-dining-kitchen area with spectacular views.
From October through May you will see and hear sea lions passing close to shore daily. This is one of only a few properties on Vancouver Island with a southwest exposure.
The kitchen is well stocked and we ask that our VBRO guests kindly replace items that they deplete during their stay.
Located at the end of a cul-de-sac the property has a large level lawn with plenty of room for boccie, croquet, badminton, frisbee and more. The quite streets nearby are ideal for leisurely family walks to Beachcomber Park, Beachcomber Marina or around "The Point”.
If your preference is to enjoy all that Northwest Bay has to offer from the water, information regarding local kayak rentals and guided tours is available.
The Cabin is only 10 minutes from Fairwinds Golf Course and Marina.

About the host
Hosted by Brian Mann

We live in Victoria two hours from our vacation property. We opened the Cabin to paying guests in 2013.
Why they chose this property
I was four years old when my parents purchased the land and I have enjoyed it ever since. My wife and I have vacationed here with family and friends for almost 30 years. We have maintained the Cabin's West Coast ambiance while installing all the comforts of home.
What makes this property unique
This is one of the few properties on the inland coast of Vancouver Island with a southwest sun catching exposure. The Cabin is surrounded by fir, oak and arbutus trees. Enjoy views of mountains and sunlight reflecting off the water until sunset or walk to Beachcomber Regional Park.
