Regardless of the bad weather the entire weekend.... the beautiful home made our trip memorable!
We had a blast with family and friends all weekend at Summit Ridge. Everything was clean and enjoyable.
Many thanks!
The views from this home are stunning!!! Our family of 14 stayed in this spacious home over Labor Day Weekend. We enjoyed the spacious living area with plenty of seating for all. Hot tub was a hit!!! Home is close to top of Beech Mountain and there were restaurants and st
House was plenty big for 6 families with 18 people total with ages from 7 to 81. We were able to enjoy family style meals, play games and enjoy the fantastic view from the porch including Grandfather Mountain. Several good restaurants for breakfast on Beech Mountain and in Banner Elk within 15 minutes.
My family and I had an amazing time on our little mountain getaway! The accomodations were as advertised and fit our large family well! There was plenty of space to gather together or separate to our own spaces when needed. The location is great! Very close to Sugar Mountain and other fun things to do! We had hoped to snow tube, but the weather had other plans. Instead we went gem mining and went on the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster (definitely recommend). The driveway was a bit steep and scary for those not accustomed to the mountain roads, but it certainly would not keep us from going back! It was a fantastic place to stay!

The home is very accommodating for large groups with a fantastic view but the details need work.
Positives: The view. The kitchen is nicely updated and stocked with sufficient dinnerware for large groups. The huge dining table is great. The deck is spacious and a nice outdoor space. There is ample parking. The updated television with Roku provides flexible entertainment options. The games in the basement are good for kids.
Negatives: The furniture, bedding, and towels show their age and not commensurate with the premium rental price of this property. The games in the basement need repairs. There were multiple lightbulbs out. The home has nice hardwood flooring on the main floor but is covered by a myriad of mismatching rugs and runners, one of which did not lie flat thus becoming a trip hazard. One storm door had been broken and there was a pile of glass fragments on the deck that hadn’t been cleaned up. The fire pit did not have a dedicated area. It was on the side yard in a generally flat area with ash piles and semi-burned logs strewn around. There was quite a bit of litter around the house including a couple bottles and cans, some wrappers, a pair of flip flops, lots of cigarette butts. The dinnerware was fine but the kitchen lacked for larger pots.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but the details need work.
This home has an amazing view with multiple mountain ranges in sight. A gorgeous facility overlooking the Blue Ridge. Very spacious deck outside, along with a fire-pit and grill for cooking out. The place is fairly clean and lots of rooms with beds for a large crowd.
The house was very clean and easy to access upon arrival. It had plenty of bedroom options and lots of space. The views are beautiful from the deck that spans the entire back.
We had a total of 18 people staying.
House was big enough for everyone. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen was great. Our big family loved the table big enough for everyone.
The hot tub/fire pit area was great. Enjoyed our stay.
Will stay again.
We had a lovely time in this wonderful home. The rooms were large and spacious. Lots of room to spread out and socialize. The outdoor decks were large with plenty of seating. The views magnificent. Kitchen well-stocked. Communication with owner was easy and smooth. Truly an exquisite home with all the amenities and more. We would stay here again.
Large family group and the home was perfect for our group of 20. 7 bedrooms was perfect and each family had their own bedroom. Large kitchen with a large table that seated us comfortably. Large family room with fireplace which we greatly enjoyed having a fire each evening. We look forward to coming back.
We enjoyed an extended family Christmas vacation at Summit Ridge. The view was spectacular and the home is spacious, lots of room for togetherness but also places to retreat for quiet if desired. The host was very responsive to the few things we needed. There are many things to do at the nearby resorts and lots of opportunities to explore nature. We hope to return soon!
We went with four families and really enjoyed our stay! Amazing views and we loved the fire pit and hot tub. Lots of bedrooms and space for people to sleep and kids to play. Close to nice hikes too!
The location of the property was wonderful, however, upon check-in, we discovered that the upstairs air conditioning was not working. The management company had placed portable units in a couple of the small bedrooms, but had no solution for the upstairs master, which we had planned on using. Upon multiple discussions with the management company, they offered no discount and told us to open the windows, which was ridiculous, because they have no screens and there’s lots of bugs this time of year. In our opinion, not being able to use the upper master took away one of the most Important aspects of the home that we had counted on and paid for. The upper master has the most spectacular view. There was a few days that it rained that the bedroom was bearable, but most of the time the temperature was well above 80° and unable to use at all. The other huge disappointment was the rugs, the rugs in all of the bathrooms were super old and filthy. They were stuck to the floor! We had to remove them they were so dirty and unsanitary, we didn’t want step on them. The rugs in the main areas the house were super old & dusty as well. The house has beautiful wooden floors, but covered in nasty rugs. In our many years on this application, we’ve never had to leave a negative review, however, we felt our duty to the next family to be aware that this house is full of dirty, dusty rugs that could be easily rectified, but they ignored.
Property and views were just as described, check in was easy and everyone had a pillow in our large group.
Large dining table is perfect for catching up with friends and the porches and hot tub gave great sunsets for the end of the days.
Property was amazing. Perfect for our large group. The beautiful snow made the driveway a little tough to navigate, especially for us Floridians who don’t really know how to drive in snow….but we managed. I would definitely stay here again!!
Our company enjoyed our stay at this property. There were plenty of amenities and a lot of things to do nearby.
