The home itself was spacious and in a convenient location close to everything we needed. Check-in instructions were clear, and the host was responsive throughout the stay. We appreciated the opportunity to stay here and enjoyed the overall experience.
The home was clean and the beds comfortable. The host was responsive. There was a lack of upkeep on the amenities. The coffee pot and range top didn't work. There was no barbecue as listed and the "outdoor space" was the front porch, though we were able to enjoy that feature. Laundry was listed but unavailable (locked basement I believe). The neighborhood was a little sketchy and we didn't feel overly safe.It was fine for our overnight stay, but I wouldn't think for an extended stay.
This property was very clean and spacious. Very quiet neighborhood and great location. I would definitely stay here again. For future occupancies there is only one TV located in the living room. There is no washer and dryer. The stove has a malfunction where the knob’s were working for the opposite eye, still very much usable (so if you use the right eyes use left eye knob’s).
It was clean. There are the two rooms with Queen beds on the main floor. Upstairs there was 3 rooms. Two rooms that both had 2 twin beds and in the third room there was a queen bed. Bonus more beds that what was listed in the post. This is an old house so it dose have the old house charm with the floors. If you are a light sleeper this house makes noise when people are moving. Loved the porch swing. There was a couple things that needed to be fixed. Small minor things but the owner is aware. My daughter has forgotten her tablet. I messaged Josh and he responded pretty quickly and was able to let us in to grab it, as this was over an hour past our checkout time. Over all it was a good stay. Also there is a coffee pot available which wasn't listed and we didn't ask, we just brought our own.
Stayed for one night. The house is cozy and spacious with plenty of rooms for everyone. Everything you need for cooking and bathing is provided. The host keeps in good contact the whole time and there is security on the outside of the house so I knew we were safe. Would book again !
The listing on this house is deceptive. If you have any accessibility needs at all, do not rent this house. The claim is that the bedrooms are wheelchair accessible if you can get in. And there is a photograph of a walk-in shower. That walk-in shower is on the top floor and you have to go up many steps to get there. The bedroom is not navigable with a wheelchair, you can pull in, but you cannot really turn around. There are no handrails to get into the house. Also, we found potential mold in the shower, and around the base of the very tall downstairs tub. Be careful if you are going up the stairs, because the handrail banister is loose. We only stayed three hours because two of our people were having breathing problems. We think due to mold, but we are not sure. And the couch and the chairs were so low. It was very hard to get out of. They’re fine if you’re only about 5 feet tall. Once we got there, one of the first things we did was look for the washing machine and dryer. We could not find it anywhere. We finally contacted the host and he said it was in the basement and gave us a separate code for it. Which means that’s another accessibility issue. The host did not give us the code to get into the house, I had to contact Vrbo and have them give me his phone number to get the code to get into the house. even though we could not stay there due to the safety and accessibility issues, the host refused to give us a refund, even a partial refund for the other nights we paid for.

Thank you for your feedback. I do want to clarify several important points for future guests reading this review.
My listing explicitly states that the home is not handicap accessible, and the listing includes clear photos of the property, including the stairs, bedrooms, bathrooms, and overall layout. At no point before booking—or between booking and arrival—did I receive any questions or communication regarding accessibility needs. Had I been asked, I would have been more than happy to answer any questions about the property and help determine whether it would be an appropriate fit.
The accessibility concern was first raised after check-in, when the guest determined that the home did not meet the needs of members of their party and requested to cancel the weekend for a full refund. Because the home had already been reserved exclusively for their stay, and its accessibility limitations and layout were disclosed prior to booking, I was unable to provide the requested full refund.
I also want to clarify a couple of other statements in the review. There was no mold found in the home, nor was mold established as the cause of the symptoms mentioned in the review. Additionally, the furniture throughout the home is standard-height, quality residential furniture and is accurately represented in the listing photographs.
I completely understand that this property will not be the right fit for every guest, particularly someone requiring a wheelchair-accessible home. That is precisely why the listing identifies the property as not handicap accessible. I encourage anyone with specific accessibility needs or questions about the home’s layout to contact me before booking. As I state in my listing, I am always happy to help and answer questions so guests can make sure the property is the right fit for their stay.
The house was roomy and while it doesn’t have a lot of upgrades, it’s perfect for a family. He is still working on some stuff, i but overall we had a great stay!
The home is an older home with a lot of remodeling done to it. The host was great. Gave detail instructions from the time we arrived to the day we left.We couldn’t get the coffee maker to work and he had a new one the next morning! Us coffee lovers gave him 5 stars for that! Highly recommend Joshua!
