Amazing location to downtown. Quiet neighborhood. Property was clean, inviting, in great condition, easily accessible, well stocked for amenities, and has a warm and inviting feel. The host's instructions for check-in/check-out were clear, easily understood, and the host responded immediately to the only question we had. Amazing stay and I HIGHLY recommend this property!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Neat and tidy, close to local shops/restaurants. Easy check in. Booked and paid for two nights, night one was cancelled at 6pm when check in was at 3pm, so it was lucky we weren’t already there.. We were told bring our own coffee pods because it’s an unnecessary expense for the host.. A bit underwhelming, but cozy if you’re on your own or just need somewhere to stay that’s close by the downtown district.

Response from VrboOwner on 22 Jan 2026
We’re disappointed by this review, especially given the extraordinary efforts made to accommodate Michael under circumstances outside our control.
Our listing clearly states that reservations must be made at least 24 hours prior to check-in. In this case, the booking was made at 6:00 PM the night before a 3:00 PM check-in, which should not have been permitted by Vrbo. Vrbo later confirmed this was a system glitch on their end and refunded us the cancellation fee due to their error.
Because no guest should have been checking in, the home was in the middle of necessary repairs and maintenance involving chemicals. Once we received the booking notification at 2:30 PM on the day of check-in, we immediately notified Michael of the situation. While we were fully within our rights to cancel the reservation entirely, we instead went out of our way to make the stay work:
• We adjusted the reservation so he could still stay one night, despite our two-night minimum policy
• We provided an additional credit
• We allowed an early check-in
We take pride in being attentive, fair, and accommodating hosts, which is reflected in our long history of consistent, positive reviews. For that reason, it is especially disappointing to receive this feedback after going to such extensive lengths to accommodate a booking that should never have occurred due to a confirmed platform error. Unfortunately, this review appears to be the result of not reading the listing details and disregarding the significant efforts made on the guest’s behalf.
Great location for Gilbert restaurants. Clean and quiet. Twin bed was soft. Sofa bed was like a full size mattress.

Hosted by Tess
Hi, I’m Tess. I’m a traveling nurse, and I fell in love with this little bungalow—and downtown Gilbert—so much that I decided to make it my home (and share it when I’m away).
I first visited Arizona back in 2014, and watching downtown Gilbert grow into the vibrant, charming spot it is today has been pretty amazing. This neighborhood is full of personality—great restaurants, cozy coffee nooks, and new local gems popping up all the time. It’s the kind of place where you can stroll, eat well, and feel right at home.
I loved this area so much that I wanted others to enjoy it just as much as I do when I’m not here. Whether you’re visiting to relax, explore, or just soak up the neighborhood vibe, I hope you love it as much as I do. Welcome, and enjoy your stay 💛
