The home has a metal roof and no attic space, so you’ll clearly hear the sound of rain during storms. Many guests find it peaceful and part of the authentic mountain cabin experience.

Our cabin sits tucked in the woods at the base of Bald Mountain, surrounded by nature — which means you may encounter some of our local neighbors like squirrels, deer, or the occasional bug. We treat the property regularly, but being in the mountains, it’s impossible to keep nature completely outside. We recommend keeping doors closed and food sealed to help minimize any curious visitors.

All roads are paved, driveway is paved and a little steep but can be accessed by regular vehicles. AWD OR 4WD is recommended with winter weather. Lower-than-standard cars could scrape at the bottom of the driveway.
