House was excellent for our party of 8 adults and 9-month-old great-granddaughter. Very spacious and accommodating. Location was in a quiet cul-de-sac but with a long drive to house. House needs maintenance of front entry, main floor and second floor porch and balcony. Not clean and only one chair on second floor balcony with rust spots. The host had one chair removed due to rust and safety concerns. Also had to reclean main floor due to obvious footprints left after initial cleaning. Some bathrooms did not have a shower caddy. The main complaint was limited use of golf cart which lessened our enjoyment of the resort and beach. While I understand it is the owner's responsibility of the golf cart, My Vacation Haven should have been more proactive. The cover should have been removed and cart cleaned. The cart did not have working rear running lights and the magnetic breaks would lock up unexpectedly and bring the cart to a sudden stop, both being very dangerous. My Vacation Haven was very responsive to my communications but this property with golf cart did not meet the expectations of a My Vacation Haven rental.

While we were initially captivated by the property's appealing exterior and its truly exceptional location, offering convenient access to Baytowne Wharf, premier golfing, diverse shopping, and a myriad of dining options, our positive first impressions quickly unraveled.Regrettably, the interior's cleanliness fell drastically short of acceptable standards, leading to a deeply unsettling experience. Our initial inspection revealed several significant issues that we promptly brought to the attention of your management team.Foremost among these concerns was the pervasive presence of ants, which we discovered in both the kitchen and bathroom areas. This immediately compromised our comfort and the perceived hygiene of the living spaces. Additionally, the provided golf cart lacked any adequate covering, rendering us exposed during inclement weather, thereby limiting a key amenity. We also noted several windows with apparent damage, seemingly from errant golf balls.However, the most alarming and frankly unacceptable discovery was the state of the bedding. Upon closer inspection, the sheets on one of the beds were found to be marred with highly suspicious brown spots that bore an unmistakable resemblance to fecal material, alongside old, dried blood stains, particularly concentrated towards the foot of the bed. This egregious finding strongly indicated that the sheets had not been changed between guest stays, representing a fundamental and critical breach of basic hygiene protoc

The rooms were clean, bedding clean, overall clean. Pool was great. We loved getting around with the golf cart. Storm Bertha was coming in and the Bay saved our trip. We had a blast crabbing and fishing. Grandson caught a 60 lb black drum in the bay and we had several blue crabs. The only thing I would say negative is they supply no trash liners once you use the first one. Same thing with dishwasher soap. Need to make that more clear on ad page so you know. No basic staples such as salt or pepper. Only had a half roll of paper towel and no extras. Most places I have rented have basic staples and supplies. Overall I give it a 9. Would stay again.
