About this property

The Retreat at Vista View

Twelve people, one mountain chalet, three minutes from everything North Conway has to offer.

The Retreat at Vista View is a four-bedroom chalet one minute from Cranmore Mountain and three minutes from downtown North Conway, your White Mountains basecamp for summer adventures, fall foliage, and everything in between.

The Chalet

Four levels give everyone space without losing the group feel. The main living area has a wood-burning fireplace for those cool mountain evenings, step out back to the deck with an outdoor dining table and Adirondack chairs, the kind of setup that turns dinner into a two-hour hang. Off the kitchen, there's a side deck with the gas grill for the chef of the group.

Head up to the second level loft and you've got a full hangout area, couch, loveseat, coffee table, and a full lineup of adult and family games. The king bedroom and a queen bedroom are both on this level sharing a full bath, plus a private deck with a small table and two chairs that's hard to give up once you've had your morning coffee there.

The top loft level has its own private queen bedroom with an attached bath, perfect for whoever wants a little separation from the group.

The Bunk Room... A World of Its Own

This is where the kids disappear so the adults can relax. Two sets of bunks, a brand new queen pullout sofa, their own TV and lounge area, and three full-size gaming consoles, Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, and Golden Tee. There's even a built-in charging bank so nobody's hunting for outlets. It's one of those rooms kids talk about on the ride home.

Summer and Fall in the White Mountains

Diana's Baths waterfalls and swimming holes — 10 minutes away

Saco River tubing — a New Hampshire summer staple, 10 minutes away

Cranmore's mountain coaster and summer adventure park — a 1-minute walk

Story Land — classic New England family fun, 15 minutes away

Kancamagus Highway — one of the most scenic fall foliage drives in the country

Conway Scenic Railroad — 3 minutes away, celebrating 150 years this summer

Tax-free outlet shopping, local breweries, and restaurants — all within 3 minutes

White Mountain hiking — easy waterfall walks to serious summits

Fall foliage peaks early October and it genuinely lives up to the hype.

A Local Tip

After a day out, head to Flatbread Pizza in town, it's a North Conway staple and one of those places the whole group will agree on without any debate.

Arrive and Settle In

We've taken care of the small stuff so you don't have to make a store run the minute you arrive. Starter shampoo, conditioner, and soap in every bathroom. Enough detergent and dryer sheets for a load of laundry. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook, including spices and olive oil. Dish soap, sponge, unlimited trash bags, and dishwasher detergent provided. Two rolls of paper towels in the kitchen, two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. Coffee for a full pot, tea, hot chocolate, and non-dairy creamer ready to go. The basics are handled.

This place was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 6 kids. Plenty of space to spread out and relax after our days on the slopes. The kids really loved the bunk room with arcade games. The adults enjoyed an evening fire in the huge fireplace. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinners and the space was very clean. Our host was communicative and the check in/check out process was easy. Thanks so much for a great weekend and we are hoping to do it again next year!

Super cozy house in an amazing location. Literally 2 minutes from Cranmore mountain, and 5 minutes to downtown North Conway for easy food take out, coffee, ski rentals, etc. House was very comfortable for our large group with enough space for eating, hanging out, sleeping, and kids area. Having a real wood burning fireplace was a huge bonus. House was clean when we arrived, everything clearly marked, plenty of cookware to use, and host provided instructions for check-in, check-out and details about every room in the house. Would definitely come back again!

We’re thrilled to hear the home worked so well for your group and that you enjoyed the location and the wood-burning fireplace, it’s one of our favorite features. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and would love to host you again anytime you’re back in North Conway! -Jon & Ashley

About the host

We grew up skiing, and North Conway has always been a big part of our lives. Now that our teenagers love the mountains just as much as we do, having a place here has become a natural extension of our family traditions. We’ve spent years coming to this area in every season, and it has always felt like a second home to us.

Hosting allows us to share a little piece of that experience with other families — the convenience, the memories, and the ease of having everything you need right at your fingertips. We love being able to welcome guests into a place that means so much.

Why they chose this property

We chose this location because it offers the perfect balance of convenience and that classic North Conway feel. Being so close to Cranmore makes life incredibly easy — whether you’re dropping off teenagers to ski for the day, signing a little one up for the ski program, or taking a break back at the condo for lunch. Everything is right there.

We also love that it’s only minutes from downtown, which means quick access to restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping, plus summer favorites like the Saco River and Story Land. Other ski mountains and year-round activities are close by as well. It’s a spot that truly works for every season, and that’s exactly why our family keeps coming back.

What makes this property unique

Our condo is designed to make family trips effortless. The space is set up with families in mind, offering a warm, modern feel and plenty of room to relax after a day of skiing, hiking, or exploring town.

What makes it stand out is how easy everything feels here: simple access to the slopes, the ability to drop kids off and check back in throughout the day, and a location that puts both outdoor activities and downtown within moments of your door. It’s a place built for making memories in every season.
