The house was clean, tidy and really cozy with the fireplace. We had everything we needed and the host was very accommodating with our baby. The views looking over the valley were gorgeous.

Yes the stars are phenomenal
Great remote and peaceful location. Advice re lack of Optus coverage was accurate, but purchase of Telstra pre-paid worked - just!
Hope to return with my family one day.

Hi bob thanks for the 5 star review, when are you coming back?
We adored having time to disconnect and soak up the outback vibe here. Wherever you look, there are hills and trees and birds. It was a bit warm on the hotter days but we opened the windows up and got lots of lovely breeze coming through. Great kitchen set up and very comfortable bed. It would be amazing for a family in cooler months. The town is over an hour from Albany and about an hour and a half from walpole and denmark, so was a bit hard to plan day trips but if you want to stay and relax, this place is perfect. Wifi worked very well and great communication and tips from Jade. We enjoyed visiting Alkoomi wines!Great kitchen

Relaxing country getaway
My hubby and I had a great time at the Frankland River Retreat. We love that it is pet friendly and brought our dog Roo with us. She had a ball sniffing all the exciting new smells and running at full speed across the paddocks. Being a giant breed pooch there aren't many places she can do that! The house yard was secure and fenced well enough to keep a large breed in. She also paddled in the river which she doesn't normally like. We enjoyed kicking back on the verandah in the afternoons when the breeze kicked in with a glass of wine and cheeseboard and taking in the stars at night when we could. I loved the no internet/phone factor as I use my phone for work.......it made it easy to relax because I was completely uncontactable although it made it a little harder when planning a day trip further afield. I'd suggest planning ahead if you want to go somewhere a bit off the beaten track. The table tennis was fun too and we usually wound down watching some telly in the evening.

Spacious, comfortable and quaint
A pretty farm cottage which has been renovated to include lots of modern conveniences. It sits in a very pretty position with a lovely east-facing eating area (morning sun). The fire makes the house very warm at night and there are plentiful spaces for people to sit and relax.
