An independent 4* meuble de tourisme 2 bedroom house. The master bedroom has a 160cm bed and the second bedroom has two 90cm beds. The house has a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, cafétiere, electric oven, ceramic hob and washing machine. The salon Is comfortably furnished and has a large HD LED TV, DVD player, board games and many books on the area, its history and places of interest.
The south facing terrace has a dining table and chairs, deckchairs, parasol and BBQ and looks across fields of sunflowers and vineyards. The area is known as Little Tuscany. There are sunloungers, cushions, a floating bean bag, diving games, floats, volley balls etc. Free wifi.
Private parking. Bikes of all sizes for all the family available free for your use. A perfect place to relax as a couple, with friends or with the family. You may see a car in the distance but you'll rarely hear it.
All linen and towels provided, except pool towels.
The house is five kilometers from Rabastens, in the Golden Triangle between Toulouse (35min), the Episcopal City of Albi - a Unesco world heritage site (25min) and Cordes-sur-Ciel (30 min). There are many walking paths and cycle and motorbike routes nearby ranging from easy to expert levels. The local attractions include the fortified villages of Lisle-sur-Tarn, Castelnau de Montmirail, Puycelsi and Cordes-sur-Ciel. Each village has a market day and is rich with local produce, shops and artisans. There are about one hundred local Gaillac aoc wine producers outside of the large wine cooperatives. Each of these wine growers produces wine which shows off the characteristics of their land. To appreciate the wines fully there is a "Wine Route" and it is possible to visit each wine-grower and taste their wines.
The house is one of 2 lovely holiday rentals. The other house is 50m away where it can't be seen or heard. Please ask for details if you would like to rent both properties.

About the host

Originally from London our family moved here in 2004. Our 2 children were thrown into the Fench school system and are now completely bi-lingual - we do our best. We all love France and the slow paced rural life. We feel part of a community here.
Why they chose this property
The property came with an independent house which we have renovated into a 2 bedroom holiday rental. We installed the pool in 2010 and welcomed visitors the same year.
What makes this property unique
The area around our home is known as Little Tuscany. The gently rolling hills, the distant views of the Pyrenees and the ever changing vineyards enchanted us ...... And they will you too.
