Host was very kind and quick to respond, inside the house was clean, there was a frying pan with grease and what looked to be remnants of ground beef in it sitting inside the oven. Once turned down and the laundry room door was shut the AC did keep up for the most part. The back yard had trash and limbs that seemed to be pushed toward the perimeter of the yard. The driveway was long but 3/4 unusable due to the trees and vegetation overgrown on both sides so that they made it unable to open the doors of your vehicle if you pulled up to the poorly maintained garage. Beds were very uncomfortable, I would compare them to lying on a stack of flat cardboard. Neighbors were very friendly. I probably would not stay here again and with the data center projects going on everyone is price gouging, I'm sure they will throw out "supply and demand" but everything is extremely expensive in Abilene as far as housing is concerned. This Vrbo did accept pets which was one factor that earned our decision to stay here. The AC evaporator unit is in the kitchen and return air is basically in the dining room, it is very loud, unable to carry on a conversation at the table when the ac kicks on but very thankful when it does as the house is probably poorly insulated and doesn't hold the temperature well so the ac runs almost constantly.
