Welcome to Lake Effect Club, Milwaukee’s most creative stay — a 150-year-old landmark reimagined with bold color, vintage character, and modern comfort. ✦ Nestled just off vibrant Brady Street, this one-of-a-kind home invites you to experience the city’s creative energy through design, story, and style.

The entire house is yours — a restored historic building transformed into three distinct designer spaces, each brought to life with its own color palette, artful personality, and private living areas. Perfect for groups or families, the home comfortably sleeps up to 14 guests and offers an unforgettable stay that feels like living inside a design magazine.


🏛️ About Lake Effect Club/Creators

Lake Effect Club was dreamed up by three friends — two born-and-raised Milwaukeeans and one who married in — united by their love for design, storytelling, and this incredible city.

We’re an architectural/interior designer, a film director/producer, and a former fashion designer turned all-around creative. During the pandemic, we began imagining the kinds of places we’d want to stay: colorful, thoughtful, and full of character.

Years later, we found a 150-year-old property on Milwaukee’s East Side — and brought it back to life with designer vintage finds, local art, new comforts, and a lot of heart. This home is our love letter to Milwaukee — a city that’s every bit as cool as the lake it sits on. 💛

💜 The Nohl (Back Cottage – White Door)

• Inspired by Milwaukee artist Mary Nohl
• One-bedroom retreat with pink kitchen, colorful lounge, and clawfoot tub
• Walk-in closet doubles as a mini office for longer stays
• Peaceful cottage porch perfect for slow mornings and golden evenings


💛 The Hoan (Upstairs Flat – Blue Door)

• Named for Milwaukee’s iconic Hoan Bridge
• Queen bedroom with writing desk and sleeper sofa
• Retro-pink kitchen, vintage lounge, and modern walk-in shower
• Ideal for couples or solo creatives

To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable stay for all guests and neighbors, please follow the rules below:


No Parties or Large Gatherings

Parties, events, and large gatherings are strictly prohibited at any time.


Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily.
Please keep noise to a minimum and avoid loud music or disruptive behavior during these times.


Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside the home or within 20 feet of any entry door.
A $200 fee will be charged for smoke removal or cleanup of cigarette butts.


Pets

Pets are allowed only with prior written approval. Unauthorized pets may result in additional fees.


Safety

Do not tamper with, disable, or remove smoke or CO detectors or any safety equipment.
Report any issues immediately.


Respect for Neighbors

Be courteous and follow all local laws and neighborhood expectations.


Guest Count

Only the guests listed on the reservation may be on the property, regardless of age.
No unregistered overnight guests. Subleasing is strictly prohibited.


Trash & Cleanliness

Please tie all trash bags securely and place them in the designated outdoor bins.
