About this property
Ocean View farmhouse w/ private HOT TUB & organic culinary garden
Easy to find farm cottage built in 1900, on a private drive right off Highway 101. Views of the bay & ocean, an antique barn & sheep pasture, & enchanting organic culinary garden. Relax in the hot tub in the "secret garden" after a day hiking through redwoods, then pick some fresh herbs & make yourself a memorable meal on the propane BBQ! Perfect for a romantic getaway, birdwatching, or family trip to "unplug."
Comfortably sleeps and dines 4 adults, with extra beds for children. First bedroom has a Queen bed, Second has a Full/Double bed, Third has two Twin/Single beds. The living room has a queen-size Futon sofa. There's a Washer & Dryer inside the cottage for free guest use. We have high speed wifi and a Roku TV (set to Guest mode, so you can log into your streaming services and it will automatically log you out on your checkout day). The full bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo.
No parties or uncleared guests. We have two neighbors on the private lane, so while there's no need to whisper, this is not a place for loud music and shouting late at night. Please note that we are very close to the Bay and salt marshes, so you may hear the charming sounds of the coast (tiny frogs, ocean sounds, an occasional foghorn in the distance). It is much quieter than staying in town, but we can not guarantee 100% silence. This is a rural area next to an adorable sheep and goat pasture, so please keep that in mind before booking if you are afraid of wildlife (deer, foxes, raccoons, gophers, garden insects), and note that leaving food out may attract ants. Thank you for reading, we want to make sure you'll love our peaceful little slice of Humboldt as much as we do. Please also note our current Maximum Stay of 14 days.

Aimee is an amazing host, always responded promptly to questions and ensured that we had precise directions to the property. The property is a very quaint older farmhouse. The bedrooms are on the smaller side as was the living room. All were very cozy and comfortable! The eat in kitchen is large and well appointed. The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed our stay, wishing we could stay a little longer.
