About this property
Heated North Carolina Glamping Rental Surrounded by Pisgah National Forest
This North Carolina glamping retreat is ideal for nature enthusiasts. During their North Carolina getaway, guests will be able to experience outdoor camping while not forgoing the comforts of home! The tent has a queen-size bed, linens, a cozy futon sleeper couch, a heated indoor wood stove, an outdoor hot shower, a kitchen sink with running water (only available in temperatures above 32 degrees), a covered kitchen porch/cooking area, a port-o-john, lounge chairs in and outside of the tent, a gas grill, a picnic table, and an outdoor fire pit area.
The North Carolina camping retreat utilizes solar energy and rainwater catchment wherever possible for eco-friendly getaways. While at the farm, guests have the opportunity to unwind from their cares and take advantage of the natural surroundings, adventures, and a wide variety of local attractions that the High Country has to offer.
Guests should note glamping tent does not have electricity or access to Wi-Fi as this is a truly off-grid rental. In the event that the temperatures are forecasted to go below freezing (32 F), the hosts would have to disconnect water to the outdoor shower and kitchen sink to avoid freeze damage. To make guests' situation as convenient as possible, cleansing wipes will be provided, as well as disposable dining utensils (plates, bowls, cups, forks, etc.). The hosts will also wash all glampers' kitchen dishes after they check-out if the water is not available.
The tent has an indoor heated wood stove and the hosts provide a premade fire. The hosts advise guests to light and feed the fire with wood before bed and once or twice in the night so the tent stays warm. The hosts provide two free wood bundles inside the tent and after that, they charge $5 per bundle. Each wood bundle has six large pieces of seasoned split wood and should last one hour for the outdoor campfire and four to five hours for the indoor wood stove depending on outdoor temperatures. The hosts have an honor system jar at the site to leave payment for wood used or they can send guests a request for payment after their stay.
