More About the property:

Black Salt Retreat |Nordic In Nature
Our accommodations are designed to bring the outdoors in. Set in the quiet fishing village of Riverport, Nova Scotia, about a 12-minute drive from Lunenburg, our retreat reflects a deep connection to place, craftsmanship, and coastal community.

The Vision
Further up the hill stands the pièce de résistance, the Black Crow Lodge. This remarkable log cabin originated in Europe and was carefully dismantled and rebuilt here by traditional German craftsmen to ensure every log was reassembled with original authenticity. The aesthetic is that of a Vintage Canadian Hunting Lodge. Just above the lodge sits our original three-bedroom cabin, featuring a spacious interior, a wood-burning stove, and a signature catwalk overlooking the landscape.

The Future
Black Salt Retreat is a living project. We are currently hand-crafting four additional cabins farther up the hillside, each meticulously designed to capture the unique topography of the land. These new additions will mirror the Nordic minimalist aesthetic of your flagship cabin, focusing on soaring glass facades and natural light. Scheduled to open in Spring 2026, these dwellings will complete our collection of nine individual retreats.
