Amazing, unique property. Very much an "outdoor experience" as the house is extremely open to the outdoors having zero glass in the windows - just wooden slats. As such, no a/c - hot. And huge amounts of bug bites...all beds had mosquito netting, but it didn't work. Each of us had at least 50 bug bites by the end of the trip and were having to apply calamine lotion, etc. So, if you want an outdoor experience and don't mind not having temperature control and don't mind being eaten by bugs and chasing birds out of the house....amazing.

Wonderful house

Overall a great house and wonderful experience. Especially like the pool. Appliances are a little dated and the grill was sketchy. Highly recommend .

While it is magical to have the home directly on the ocean, there is a small tradeoff. The appliances bear the brunt of the corrosive salt air. As a result, we have the appliances professionally checked bi-monthly and replace them on a rotating basis to keep them fully operational and attractive. Occasionally, there may be a corrosive blemish, but we can assure you that they are all current, updated models. All of them are switched out with new ones every 3-5 years to keep them attractive. We will double-check to see if any are approaching that time. We were delighted you noticed the kitchen upgrades upon your arrival! We strive to provide our guests with a pristine luxury experience with every detail addressed. Thank you for your review! We look forward to your next visit!

Best view in Kona

During an exceptionally cold winter, it was heaven to spend a wonderful week basking poolside in the warm breezes watching the whales and boats go by. The house is beautiful and nicely outfitted, very open with the feel of Hawaii throughout. But for me it was all about the view!

Kona family getaway

Amazing property. Tremendous view of the ocean just across the property fence. Spectacular sunset every night. Stocked better with amenities and accessories than any other Vrbo I have in which I have stayed. The pool was perfect, overlooking the ocean and an integral part of the house.

This felt like a mini compound for our family of 8. Amazing views and a super luxurious and comfortable place to live for a week. The master bedroom and shower were amazing. Close drive to organic grocery store and restaurants. Lava beach out front and short walk to sand beach.

Relaxed in Kona

We had an amazing stay at this property. Exceeded our expectations from the pictures online. We loved being able to hang out in the several lounging spots at the house, being able to walk the beach and tidepools directly in front of the home and easily walk to town. We didn't feel like we needed to leave the property it was so great. Mei, the property manager helped us immediately and gave recommendations. We would absolutely book again.
