This sweet home is close to Mt Shasta, yet a little off the beaten track. Located on a magical half acre, which has Mt Shasta views, flora galore and lawn, the 3 bedroom-2 Bath home is 1350 SF of cozy delight. The rear patio is great for watching your friends play games in the yard, or for sharing a bar-be-qued meal, with a fine glass of wine. Ensconced in privacy, the location is minutes to the Gateway Trail Head and the road to Mt Shasta's Bunny Flats. This is a great place to hang your hats and to kick back with friends or family!
Enjoy the fresh fruit from our yard during summer months: cherries, peaches, raspberries and plums (some say the best they have ever eaten). Early in the season, rhubarb is there for the taking as well.
Note: Minimum Stay 2 nights, Holidays 3-4 Nights.

Marsha and her group were cleanest guests EVER! We were so happy to see the fabulous condition the house was in, when Cleaner and I arrived. We had a group coming in that afternoon, and our lives were made much easier. Thank you, Marsha! My only issue was no communication! I had to drive by the morning after the arrival to make sure she was at the house. Other than that- perfecto.

The house was very well equipped: yard games, books, DVD's, CD's, outdoor furniture to enjoy the spacious backyard and the best equipped kitchen ever! No complaints.

Great stay

Home was clean and comfortable for six adults. Good location in a neighborhood north of downtown. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and utensils, coffee maker, and snacks. Beds were comfortable. Furnishings and decor were all nice and in good condition. Check in was easy and flexible. Manager was easily reached for questions.

We loved this house. The backyard is big and amazing! Lovely house inside and all the places to sit outside is fantastic. Jessie was also a great, friendly host. Totally recommend this place!

Perfect Getaway

This property is delightful! From the close proximity to town to the fabulous backyard area for relaxing, and well stocked kitchen! The rooms were comfortable and the extra couch in the living area would make enough seating for larger groups. We were able to walk to a local meditation garden close by and enjoy sunrise. The host was a breeze to work with and was quick to respond to a question I had! I honestly can’t wait to come back to this little slice of heaven at the floor of the mountain!

Cozy secluded house convenient to town and skiing

This place is as described -- a comfortable house with a well-stocked kitchen, a fireplace for wood heat (as well as central heating). Lovely outdoor setting, but only a few minutes' drive from down and roughly 30 min from Mt. Ashland ski resort. Property manager Jessie is very helpful and friendly.

Redwood retreat

We celebrated boys 18th bday here, went snowboarding/skiing, perfect location from ski park being only 25 mins. In a quiet neighborhood only couple minutes from town. House was perfect, Jessie stops by beforehand and turns on heater, we built fires in woodstove everyday and home has everything you need, just bring clothes! Jessie is very communicative and really accommodating. We look forward to next visit. Thank you Jessie

Cozy and clean cabin

Check in was easy. Cabin was very clean. Wood was stocked. There were even some goodies awaiting us! And kids loved the board games. Thoughtful and helpful notes on how to use appliances/wood stove/etc. a very quiet neighborhood with some country roads to walk on. And still very close to town. We will return!

Quaint and quiet

My stay in Mt Shasta was delightful as always. The home was tidy and just enough off the beaten path to create a feeling of solitude even though there were other homes about. It was a good location for a practical straight drive up the mountain. While the home was tidy, its age is beginning to show. The kitchen had received a refresh and it appears the master bath was a recent remodel/add-on. Outside of that, the home was feeling dated with a hodgepodge of furniture beginning to show dirt, wear and tear. The back gardens were lovely. Jessie was an excellent communicator. The welcome items in the fridge and on the dining room table were a nice plus.

We love reviews such as this, because it makes us think about what needs to change. The Master Bath was added to the house a few years ago. My Owners are wonderful people with two kids in college. I do keep pressing them for new items, and they are very responsive. However, like vacation rental owners here know, this is not a cash cow. This review will get me the curtains and LR couches we all would love. My big thing, as a Manager, is to provide a clean, safe space for our guests, and I love good feedback like Stephen's.

I loved this sweet, comfy home. Location is excellent, the neighborhood is very quiet, and late afternoons in the garden with a glass of wine were delightful. An excellent selection of organic treats was provided for breakfast and snacks (eggs, butter, bread, jam, yogurt, granola, milk, juice, popcorn, snack crackers, peanut butter) - an unexpected and much appreciated bonus!
