Cape Meares is beloved for its quiet atmosphere and sights like the lighthouse and Cape Meares National Wildlife Refuge, but guests won't be far from more populated destinations. Shopping and dining in Oceanside and Netarts and the world-famous cheese and ice cream of Tillamook are all less than a 10-mile drive away. It's the perfect retreat for couples, families, or a small group of friends.



When everyone has had their fill of coastal sightseeing, relaxing at home base on your private deck will be the perfect cap to dreamy vacation days.     We had a great stay here and loved the location and easy access to the beach. The home has plenty of amenities and was mostly clean. One thing to note is this is an older home, so there were several times during our stay where the circuit breaker had to be reset simply for using the microwave. Also, if it’s sunny out (we got lucky with nice weather) the main living area turns into a sauna in the late afternoon. I would recommend the instillation of shades that can be drawn for such circumstances. Otherwise, we loved our visit and would stay here again.
