We’re thrilled to reintroduce The Great Pyrenees, one of our most loved homes in the Poconos. Every bedroom and gathering space has been refreshed with new furniture, cozy accents, and thoughtful design updates to make your stay even more comfortable and inspiring.

This home holds special meaning for us. Our beloved Great Pyrenees, Wisp, inspired not only the name but the spirit of the space. The breed’s gentle strength and mountain heritage perfectly mirror the setting — “the big dog of the mountains” feels right at home here. Throughout the house, you’ll find small touches celebrating our love for dogs and the peace they bring. We hope you feel that same sense of warmth and belonging during your stay — and yes, your four-legged family members are welcome here too.

Indoor Comforts
The home comfortably accommodates up to 18 guests, featuring 12 beds and one queen-sized futon. Each bedroom includes its own Smart TV, offering both privacy and connection for large groups and families.

There are 4.5 bathrooms in total. All full bathrooms feature walk-in showers—there are no bathtubs in the home. The full bathrooms are located upstairs, and there is a convenient half bathroom on the main level.

First Floor
Bedroom 1: Adventure Awaits — King bed, Smart TV
Bedroom 2: Puppy Tea Time — Queen bed and twin-over-full bunk bed

Second Floor
Bedroom 3: Puppy Paradise — Queen bed and queen futon, with sliding door access to the deck
Bedroom 4: Vintage Dog Show Suite — Queen bed in one room and a twin-over-full bunk in the adjoining “Puppy Playroom.” These rooms are connected by an open archway (no door) and share deck access.
Bedroom 5: Barnyard Room — Queen bed and twin-over-full bunk bed, with plush lounge chairs
Bedroom 6: Doggy Zen — Queen bed and sliding door walkout to the deck

Main Living Room
Vaulted wood ceilings and a stone-accented fireplace create a warm, rustic atmosphere. Two sectionals provide space for everyone to gather, while sunlight streams in through large windows and sliding doors that open to the deck and grill. Whether it’s movie night, game night, or a quiet morning coffee by the fire, this is the heart of the home.

The Pyrenees Pub
Downstairs, you’ll find one of our favorite spaces — a full entertainment lounge complete with a bar, bar stools, shuffleboard, billiards, foosball, and a brand-new poker table along with select board games. Comfortable couches surround the fireplace, making it a perfect hangout spot. Don’t miss the stunning Great Pyrenees mural, hand-painted by a local artist, that brings the room to life.

Kitchen & Dining
The fully stocked kitchen is designed for hosting large groups, featuring stainless steel appliances, a double-door refrigerator and a double door freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, and stylish new floating shelves. A spacious granite island makes meal prep a breeze.

The dining room is a true showpiece — a long table that seats up to 14 guests, with an additional round table for 4 nearby. Gather by the fireplace for family dinners, holiday feasts, or special celebrations.

Outdoor Spaces
Step outside to enjoy the best of mountain living. The deck offers ample space for lounging and grilling, and the private sand volleyball court adds a fun, active touch. The 4–6 person hot tub is perfect for unwinding under the stars after a day of exploring. Plus, a horseshoe pit out front - horseshoes provided!

(New outdoor furniture for expanded seating is coming by May 1, 2026 — just in time for summer!)

Climate Control
Each living room and bedroom features individual thermostats for personalized comfort. The home includes dual-zone central air conditioning, a mini split unit in the main living area, and a window unit in the Pyrenees Pub for extra cooling when needed.
