The view and location are very good. Sofa and chairs should have been replaced quite some time ago, very worn and sofa in particular was dirty. First thing we put a sheet over the sofa and towels over the chairs - didn't want to set on them. Then quickly got a candle and can of Febreeze to help mask the stale odorous smell. I developed a very bad sneeze - which would go away once I went outside, may or may not be related to smell in condo. Next thing was air leakage around the door, could literally see close to a quarter inch gap under the door and with strong cold north wind could feel it breezing all the way into the seating area. I called about this and a very nice young man from Luxury came and installed a sweep on bottom of door and some strips around door frame; helped a lot and was much appreciated. Next thing that happened was hot water tank was leaking and had to be shut off for about a day; not necessarily a fault of anyone except very obvious should have been replaced some time ago. Knowing what I now know and experienced, I should have called immediately upon entry and said find me another place, I'm not staying in this unit. It could be very nice, just needs some new stuff and a bit of care. I'm not a newby to beach vacations and have never given a bad review; have been coming to Orange Beach 20-25 years summer and winter, many times at Summerchase. Unfortunately, I have to say this unit was in the poorest condition of anywhere I've stayed.
