Very rustic but lots of amenities. We had a problem checking in but Jack was able to help us out despite it being 10pm. The dogs on the property were very friendly and met our dogs. Fairly priced. However, the bed is incredibly old and the bedframe is rickety, making it impossible to get comfortable. Everything else was great!

Very clean.Scent Generating Plugin made me sick, and once we found it and tossed it out, The rest of the stay was pleasant.The bed was very comfortable, as was the roomy furniture.Kitchen was highly functional and well equipped.I would definitely stay here again if the Plugin Scent generators were removed.

The location was perfect and the host was more than accommodating. I recommend anyone who wants to stay in a quiet peaceful place and visit the national forest this place is for you. The only recommendation I have is check your email prior to going to the destination for instructions. The area is remote and cell signal is off and on. Once you arrive and access wifi your phone works perfectly.

It’s a cute little cabin. The furniture was comfy and so was the bed. The only problem we had was that it got very cold in the living room and we couldn’t find extra blankets. Other than that, it was a great stay.

This simple little cabin is perfect for a small vacation or getaway! We just wanted a night away from home while getting to explore the trails in the nature parks. This is a budget friendly AND pet friendly place! The cabin is outfitted with utensils, pots, pans, silverware, etc. The fridge, stove top and oven worked perfectly! This place does have a shower, which was helpful after hiking. There is a TV and wifi is provided. I wish I could give info on the TV but we never got around to turning it on, we were enjoying the seats provided to sit outside! There is also a pile of wood and a small firepit. (Definitely bringing a s'mores kit next time) All in all we loved it. Its small, yes, but really its just enough of what we needed. We definitely intend on returning at some point!

An amazing cozy spot for a nice getaway with the Husband and our 2 fur-children, absolutely beautiful land there! We had a blast exploring all the trails around in the area! Not to far of a drive either!

Rooms were clean, the air conditioner had mold. He didn't clarify that the smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors worked. Us having a little I was sure to check that, I sent a message asking that, and all the sudden our messages are gone. He was great at communicating until i asked about the smoke alarm/carbon monoxide. I also reached out because it was storming and asked specially about the possible flooding. If you're okay with that, all is great. Its just very misleading when you expect that to be there. Its mostly electric from what we noticed but it's nice to have a way to get out if need be if there's a fire. I would not stay again based on not having those protective measures.

Place was very clean and host Jack responded reasonably quick to questions. Air conditioning worked well and the kitchen had nice, clean pots, pans, plates and cups. Loved that the cabin is secluded but right next to the road. Although we did not hear any road noise.

10 out of 10. I originally intended to do more hiking than I did, but I just couldn't get off the front porch. Living an hour from Chicago in Indiana with 500k people in my county alone. I can go all year and never be able to just sit on my porch with coffee and just enjoy nature with no interruptions. This was so great to just enjoy the days. Definitely will be back.
