We had been to LBI before - but this was the first time with our “adult” children - they had an awesome time ! The property had lots of bicycles - beach chairs - toys - there’s pickleball, basketball and tennis courts right around the corner - highly recommend!
We enjoyed our time at the cottage and felt lucky to have found this gem to stay in for our BL week.
It was comfortable and it had everything we needed. All week we found ourselves mentioning what we loved about staying in the house. Great place with wonderful hosts.
This house was absolutely perfect for my family of 6. We loved everything about it - its vintage character, comfortable and cozy decor, comfortable beds and linens, wonderful outdoor spaces, well-stocked kitchen that was perfect for cooking, and great location. The hosts are extremely helpful and welcoming. I’ve been coming to LBI my whole life but this house is not your typical LBI rental. The house has everything you need for a week at the shore. Highly recommend!

Thank you Adrienne, you all are welcome any time! Thank you for your nice review.
Our stay was very nice for my wife and I. The house was very quaint and comfortable. It located close to the ocean and bay. Close walking distance to very good restaurants.
The front porch was very comfortable and we enjoyed have our coffee or tea there in the morning. Luckily the fire whistle only went off once during our stay.
The house has two floors. The first floor has a full bedroom, a pullout, and a trundle, which is enough for a small family, but the second floor adds two more full bedrooms (one with a double and a twin)! So lots of space in a beautiful beach home. The firehouse alarm is loud, but you never know if it’ll go off during your stay.It was very convenient to not have to worry about bringing sheets or bicycles, thanks for that!

You and your family are welcome back any time! Thank you for your nice review!
Great vintage house, well-maintained and thoughtfully updated, with much character, charm, and space. We were very happy and comfortable and loved the quiet, unspoiled neighborhood of Barnegat Light. But the firehouse alarm next door did go off at least a couple of times every day while we were there (August). It is very loud.

Dear Mary, thank you. We're so pleased you enjoyed the house. And Barnegat Light! But goodness, that is a lot of alarms going off. We're so sorry about this. That is highly unusual that it would be every day. I hope it doesn't keep you from coming back to BL in the coming summer seasons. Thank you for your kind attention to the house!
We had a great trip at this charming older beach house in LBI. The location is amazing, walking distance to the beach, restaurants, ice cream, and mini golf for the kids. The backyard was a great resource, we all hung outside on the grass and ate dinner every night out outside at the large table. It was a little challenging to keep the upstairs cool, and there were no outlets in one of the bedrooms, but this was a minor concern we worked around and understand it’s an older quirky home. The house feels like a home, with beautiful artwork, books, and homey decoration.
My wife grew up vacationing on LBI and we hadn’t been back since her parents sold their house 3 years ago. We had an absolute blast staying at 905! It was everything we needed between location, bikes, boogie boards and more.
Are there nicer houses? Sure. Will you find a house with the family hospitality that TJ and his family showed us. Doubtful. From the minute we booked the house they were amongst the most gracious hosts we ever had!
Thanks so much for sharing!
The other reviews pretty much tell the story of this house so I don't have much to add that's new. I do want to emphasize, however, how lovely and welcoming the owners are. They couldn't have been more helpful. We had a wonderful time. We came to LBI attend a family celebration in nearby Barnegat. While we were on LBI we attended an event at the arts foundation, went to the beach, ate lots of seafood, had ice cream, shopped, played skeeball. The house accommodated two couples - one with a 3 yr. old and two singles. Lots of sleeping options and lots of things you might not remember to bringing already thoughtfully provided by the owners.

Thank you for this wonderful review Laura. We are so happy to know you had a great time and that the house worked out for all of you! - the Sanchezes
This place was perfect. Barnegate light is a perfect spot for relaxation. Not a lot of stuff but the essentials breakfast, bars restaurant and ice cream. This house is with in walking distance to all of these things and the beach access is across the street!
The house itself is larger than it appears and their is plenty of space for friends and family to hang out. They have a variety of books dvds toys and games. The house comes with bikes and other outdoor activities. The place we spent the most time at was the outdoor picnic table.
The house has a super beachy feel, which made it comfortable. Its decorated super cute as well. The kitchen is stocked. Spices, pots and pans!
The owners of the house met us the first day and showed us around. This is clearly a place they love very much.
The fire station next door has an alarm that plays at random times, I slept through it multiple times and so did my kids. But several others in the group woke up to.
I hope to stay again next year!
This is a charming 1920's beach cottage, centrally located in Barnegat Light, walking distance to just about everything you'd need and want to do. The homeowners were friendly and responsive. The house and kitchen were well-stocked, which was really helpful to not have to pack every spice, utensil, towel, etc.!
During our stay, there were two storms that flooded the entire backyard for the majority of our time there. Over time the water did dissipate, but because of the layout of the home, it was challenging for family members staying on the 2nd floor because they could not use the outside entrance, but had to go in and out of the room where our 2 kids were napping/ sleeping. The flooding also brought a lot of yard debris around the patio area/ outdoor shower, which was messy with 7 adults/ children. And, our ability to eat outside and play in the backyard was limited to only a couple of days because of the standing water. Of course, this was not something the owner's could do anything about.
Considerations for those with small children: the yard does have a partial fence, but it is not enclosed. As the home is right on Central Ave, vigilance with the littles was key. Also, as a '20's cottage, the stairs up to the 2nd floor were very steep and narrow, so this was a safety issue for us the entire stay. There are no baby gates (we forgot to bring ours), nor locks on the doors to keep the kids securely off the back stairs. There's also a set of concrete stairs off the kitchen/back room down to the table outside that were also a hazard (very narrow steps). Limited electrical outlets and A/C, although we were able to keep the house cool.
The FD siren only went off once on our first day, so that was a non-issue - and the kids loved the chance to check-out the fire trucks and meet the fire folks on Sunday.
Enjoyed our stay. Nice location and the house had everything we needed. We had a very hot, humid week so it was tough to keep the bedrooms cool. Owners were friendly and accommodating.
Great house, with wonderful, fully stocked kitchen, laundry, great grilling, with a separate grill for vegetarians, back patio, extra fridges, and upper back deck. Downside is it is very close to LBI siren for EMS and Fire volunteers. Siren only went off 5 times during the week, but still very loud. Other downside was ac was only in a couple rooms, and it was a pretty hot week.
Beautifully restored 1920s beachhouse. Amenities galore. Easy quick access to the beach and local shopping. We all truly enjoyed our stay!

Charming beach house
The house was just as described. Away from all the hubbub. Family oriented. It was close to the beach and the bay. We could walk or ride bikes to everything. Enjoyed grilling in the backyard.
TJ and his wife were very nice and quick to respond with any questions. TJ’s mom and dad were very nice and waited for us to arrive to show us around and explain everything.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.
