About the host

Host profile image
We’re a local family who loves spending time at our cabin whenever we can. With two active boys and a calendar full of sports and activities, we don’t get to use it as often as we’d like—so we decided to share it with others instead of letting it sit empty. We take pride in keeping the cabin comfortable, welcoming, and well-maintained, and we’re always nearby if you need anything during your stay.”

Why they chose this property

We love our cabin because it’s truly our peaceful escape. Surrounded by tall pine trees and set on a clean, beautiful lake, it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere—yet restaurants, shopping, and Itasca State Park for hiking and biking are only a short drive away. Loons call across the water, bald eagles soar overhead, and wildlife is always nearby. We spend our days boating, watching the kids tube and fish, and soaking in the quiet that makes this place so special. The lake is full of walleye, sunfish and rock bass, and every visit leaves us feeling refreshed and connected to nature.”

What makes this property unique

Our property is truly unique because it’s part of a privately owned resort, offering the rare combination of space, privacy, and community. With 66 acres of land and 836 feet of shared shoreline, there’s plenty of room to explore, relax, and enjoy the outdoors without feeling crowded. It’s quiet and peaceful, and the owners around the property are friendly and respectful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Despite being part of a resort, the layout is so spacious and secluded that it often feels like you have the entire place to yourself—something you don’t usually get with a traditional private cabin.”
