This Cottage is on the ridge of a foothill 6 minutes from St Helena. Most windows are oriented East and invite cheerful warm morning sun. There are four porches for protection from the weather, One is a large elevated covered porch with outdoor seating and table facing the forest and vineyard views. There is an aerobic walk south across the ridge and down through the neighborhood, and on, passing a vineyard below.

We were a three month rental, so wanted a really comfortable/livable space. This is a beautiful property in the hills east of St. Helena. The gated area covers 2.5 acres which are well maintained (there are other units on the property, but not close by). It is very quiet. The views out the LR/DR deck are over vineyards and hills to the east, with great morning sunlight. The unit is very light with a nice open living area and well sized bedrooms with a comfortable mattress in the MBdr (we never used the second bed). There is plenty of storage. The kitchen/laundry has a mix of new and older appliances, but all were in working condition. There is adequate kitchen supplies and some surprises -- a rice maker, blender, and a well stocked library of books. The slight negatives of the property for us were the tightness of the kitchen space (it is a one at a time kitchen) and the three steps down with no railing. I would recommend the property to others who want a place to enjoy outside of town.
