About this property
The Lauren — A Bright, Cozy Loft w/ Balcony in Downtown Bellefontaine
Welcome to The Lauren, a bright and beautifully restored boutique loft inside the iconic Historic Tremont Building, perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Bellefontaine. Thoughtfully designed with exposed-brick charm, warm natural light, and modern comforts throughout, this cozy retreat offers an inviting escape just steps from local cafés, restaurants, shops, and historic landmarks.
Inside, the loft feels airy and open thanks to high ceilings, original hardwood floors, and a calming, curated aesthetic. The living area features plush, comfortable seating, a Roku-equipped TV, and soft lighting that makes it easy to unwind—whether you're relaxing after a day of exploring or settling in for a quiet night.
The open-concept kitchen includes stainless-steel appliances, ample counter space, a Keurig for morning coffee, and all the essentials for simple home cooking. While The Lauren doesn’t include a formal dining room, the spacious kitchen island with bar seating creates the perfect spot for casual meals, laptops, planning the day ahead, or sipping wine before heading out to dinner.
Your bedroom is a serene, sunlit sanctuary with a luxurious queen bed, soft linens, warm textures, and direct access to the private balcony. An adjoining walk-in closet and full laundry room with top-load washer and front-load dryer provide extra convenience for longer stays.
The bathroom offers a clean, modern feel with a standing shower, fresh towels, toiletries, and all the necessities already stocked for you—no need to bring a thing.
Step through the bedroom door to enjoy your private balcony, the perfect little hideaway for morning coffee, afternoon reading, or relaxing under the evening glow of downtown. It’s one of The Lauren’s most charming features and adds a peaceful outdoor moment to your stay.
Guests enjoy access through the building’s designated rear entrance and a reserved parking spot directly behind the Tremont Building (additional parking available across the street).
Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, a business trip, a wedding, or simply to explore one of Ohio’s most charming small towns, The Lauren blends boutique-hotel vibes with the comfort of home—right in the center of it all.

About the host
Hosted by Breanne Comer
Meet Breanne Comer — the heart behind Historic Tremont Suites.
Born and raised in Ohio, Breanne has always had a gift for seeing the magic in things — whether it’s a piece of vintage décor ready for a second life, a Main Street building waiting to be restored, or a guest walking into one of her newly finished suites.
In 2021, she purchased the Historic Tremont Building in Bellefontaine and poured her creativity, hard work, and whole heart into bringing it back to life. Downstairs, she runs The Poppy Seed Salon & Boutique, working as a hairdresser by day and a vintage curator by passion. A lifelong collector, Breanne has an eye for treasures and often sells her finds at vintage fairs and shows throughout Ohio.
Upstairs, she recently completed a full renovation of the Tremont’s second floor, transforming it into two beautifully curated vacation rentals — The Lauren and The Armani. Every detail reflects Breanne’s style: warm, collected, meaningful, and infused with history.
When she isn’t working (which is rare for this lovable workaholic), you’ll find her following Dave Matthews Band on the road, visiting family, taking long walks, or dreaming up her next adventure. She loves a good podcast, a good story, and the occasional Kentucky mule at the end of a long day.
Her hope is that guests feel the same warmth, charm, and welcome she does every time she steps inside the Historic Tremont Building — a place she lovingly restored, piece by piece, into something truly special.
